They're even worse than I thought. I know Liverpool are better, but before the game I thought the rivalry factor might play a part. As the cliche goes, the form book goes out the window during a derby. Before the 2008 takeover and United were at their best under Ferguson, City gave them good games despite having a relatively poor team, our record against them was pretty good and we got some memorable wins. Even in Pearce's last season we were a Vassell penalty miss away from getting a point, at Old Trafford we played pretty well but couldn't take our chances. I can't remember a derby after our last promotion in 2002 where they humiliated us the way City and Liverpool did to them this season and the gap between us and United at that time was greater. They don't even have that pride for the shirt. They really are broken.

Just saw all jamie jackson on NW news, he's not living off his author's royalties judging by the state of him. Tramp in Henri Lloyd who looks rough as fuck and sounds it too. As for his cutting edge football analysis, think the Beano will be winning the Pulitzers..

The rags even put Hannibal on near the end, but even he couldn’t eat into the score line. Did put himself about a bit though.

I've not read all the recent posts, so sorry if this has been mentioned.

On the Radio 5 Nikki Campbell phone in this morning (9am-10am) they discussed Manchester United. Lots of people tweeting in that with Ukraine and partygate and Rwanda they really shouldn't be doing Talksports job for an hour, but I think Campbell had just had enough of all that grim stuff and decided on something sporty today instead!

Anyway, one or two United fans were courageous enough to phone in and actually say what so many of them just can't bring themselves to face up to: each and every manager since Moyes (and including Moyes) still had Sir Alex Ferguson hovering in the background AND making key decisions. They were also brave enough to link Ferguson to the Glazer takeover and I was surprised about that. They even suggested the club won't get out of this rut until he is sidelined. I was applauding that, because I expressed a similar view on their (Red Cafe) forum and was banned because of it.

I knew he had a parking slot, (that Ole Solksjaer wouldn't use) but it was said in the discussion that he also has an Office at Old Trafford next door to the managers one! That was news to me. Crazy, if true.

During the discussion, Campbell let a United fan and a City fan go head to head on the Ferguson issue and the United guy tried to say that when Pep finishes (as a legend of the club), will City just push him out the door? The City lady responded that Pep would leave when Pep decides to leave, but he wouldn't be hanging around as some sort of 'Club Ambassador' and she is right. It was all great stuff.

I nearly choked on my cornflakes because one deluded Utd bloke did try to defend their ex-manager and say it can't all be blamed on 'poor Sir Alex'. Poor! He was by far the highest earning PL manager when he was in the job and some say he is still on £4 million a year just to sit in the stand and pull faces for SKY or the BBC, when they have yet another epic fail.

Some United fans are deluded. If the Glazers pull Old Trafford down and rebuild it, they shouldn't have a Sir Alex Ferguson stand anymore. It's the Sir Matt Busby thing all over again but ten times worse because they have elevated Sir Alex to just ridiculous levels even though he was pretty crap in most of their European campaigns and was just mega-lucky in 1999!

I agree with you Gray, quite a horrible man. He built an Empire, but then couldn't walk away and he is destroying it from within. Long may it continue, it's karma.

- 'This is Manchester United' keeping the hugely inflated self importance and entitlement as strong as ever
- The constant over-hyping of the club and players that he eludes to he is as guilty as anyone else (see all other media outlets in addition)
- Over-hyping of every single young player that enters the club (all within the England squad and grossly overpaid within a matter of weeks). At this point, they are all set for life and no longer need to improve
- Leading the fans revolt against the club 'green and gold we never fold!'
- Unwilling to castigate the previous manager as he was his mate

The other week on Sky when he was a co-commentator, after the game he used the phrase 'they were a magical club'. Surprised no one picked him upon that in the studio, probably as he is seen as a 'heavyweight' amongst the Sky lowlifes.

With that phrase he showed how deluded, desparate and indoctrinated he is.

They are one of 92 football clubs who have periods of good and bad, trouble is he like Wio (the camel), Scolesy (the toe), Ryan (well enough said), brother Phil (another busy shit) and gpc (never in my lifetime).They are full of shit (apart from gpc,thanks to the hard shoulder, supposedly)

At least Keane (the dog worrier) tells it as it is, but seemingly he is no fan of the setup.

Long may it continue, funny as fuck.
 
Ferret face backed Ferguson over the 99 Questions, he's part of the problem.

They were a magical club, now they're a tragical club. Btw the Meme United article is hilarious, there's something about feeling pity for the rags and the comments from non-rags are all along the lines of 'lol no we want them to SUFFER'.
