Honestly, we’ve played well but have again been let down by the same deficiencies that we’ve seen all season. We’re going to struggle to win games if we can’t convert chances with any sort of consistency. The other teams have figured out how to defend against us. They know that we have to play through them, because we lack the physical presence of a striker and the pace out wide to get in behind, so they defend with numbers compactly.

If only Negredo could have kept it zipped ,unfortunately we never saw his full potential but that six months he was a beast .

Zipped? last time I checked the "charming man" insisted on playing him against west ham, a game that was already done and dusted. He ended up fucking up his shoulder and that was when it all went to shit.

i said earlier in the week that our lack of finishing could be the difference.....mahrez and gundogan should have have both scored and if thats one of the liverpool front 3 or 4 and both would have been in......the game would then be open and comfortable.....

Mahrez doesnt have a killer instinct in him...i know he is our top scorer this year but he is a soft touch in front of goal too foden and for a player with such sublime skill he should do better.

Issue is that no one on the bench changes this ...Grealish aint a goal threat nor particularly creative....Jesus...bags of energy but again finishing is a problem

For me if we need a goal in the last 20 mins he should throw delap on ....play him in the middle upfront ...he might be a kid but he at least is a finisher.

Why don't we play percentage football for just once! Try the odd aimless cross as it still needs defending and our best chances have come from their shit passing out. But no, we waste endless minutes goingsude to fucking side and missing countless opportunities to throw the ball in while we look to run up dead ends! An absolute fucking shambles of a team trying the same trick every game and expecting the opponents to fall for it!

Our midfield is too busy,we have 3 no.10's trying to be something different and fuck all outlet.

Cancelo very sloppy and only Kev trying to drive us forward.

Brighton look more than capable of getting us on the break if we don't pick up the tempo.

I think we‘ve done ok. Not created masses of chances, but we rarely do. Should still have scored at least one (Mahrez) and possibly two (Gundogan). De Bruyne and Silva have had decent efforts, Mahrez could have had another chance if he could head it.
Longer it goes, obviously going to get more nervy and desperate. Midfield bit of a worry - Silva looks leggy, and I reckon Gundogan is still not 100% (whether he is or isn‘t, he‘s been fairly shit so far).

Such a wasteful side.

Nobody will ever convince me that Mahrez is top-class. People getting hard because a pro footballer can control a football. I am more interested in the greedy, turgid, shite he serves up more often than not after the 1st touch. He’s seen more of the ball tonight than he has all season and every single action has been the wrong choice/decision.

Gundogan, hasn’t made a forward pass of any note for 6 months. He is so obsessed with playing one-touch the way he is facing, he kills all hope of any quick breaks when there’s fucking acres of space behind him.

There’s conversations to be had about City v Liverpool and who is the better side etc etc but one thing is for sure, they have something we are seriously lacking…a killer instinct. This game at the moment feels like we are relying on Foden or KDB to do something because the rest of them are pissing in the wind so far.

The sooner this forward line is shaken up the better.
