For anyone who says it is a myth about Liverpools Scandinavian support. There are 5 football charter flights into Liverpool tomorrow. 4 from Oslo and the other from Stavanger all returning on Monday. 700+ fans. How on earth do they get match tickets?

Imagine my utter shock when i looked at the league table this morning and found that the greatest team ever in the history of football ® ...........was in 2nd place.
2nd is the new first. Especially if you never mention the team that is actually at the top.

If rag fans have to stop singing about Hillsborough, Liverpool fans have to stop singing about Munich AND get rid of their shitty fucking Steaua Bucharest banners. We all know why you have Steaua Bucharest banners, guys. Don't play dumb.

I went to school in Chester and the majority of people in my year were either kopites or rags. I was one of a tiny handful of Everton fans (before anyone asks, I have family who are Everton fans).

People have changed, that's the problem.

Even on here a difference of opinion is not allowed, your a cnut or the like.

Debate and opinions are what can make life fun and interesting, sadly we now live in a world where they are frowned upon.
Naah, a large proportion of the population have always been dickheads. You can't avoid them now, though. 20 years ago, you could leave the pub to avoid having to listen to dickheads. 10 years ago, you could choose where to go online to avoid them. Nowadays, the dickheads online are everywhere. Thank you, the internet. Even on here, there is an ever increasing number of dickheads. 10 years ago, the dickheads were at least intelligent and had points to make. Now, they are just the shouty guys who used to be dickheads in the pub. And probably still are.

Don't know if its been discussed already, but I can't believe the praise Liverpool are getting for their reaction to the tragic Ronaldo news.

1. They sorted a minute's applause. Much safer than a minute's silence.
2. They then sang their main song throughout it. Yes the lyrics are fairly supportive, but it just meant that even if some fans didn't want to pay respect, they just sang that song. It'd be a bit like us having a minute's applause and then everyone singing Blue Moon all the way through it.
Nothing more than a PR hollier than thou exercise in my book. The media bought into it, they are now seen as faultless decent fantasy ever.
Two days later Liverpool issue a statement about stamping out Hillsborough chats at Anfield, with the press highlighting what happened at Wembley on Saturday with our fans.
As much as I agree that these disgusting chants need stamping out and I include Munich chats by them and us in that, it strikes me as a bit strange that two after their Ronaldo tribute the club choose to issue a statement about Hillsborough chants.

Called it!

"Liverpool right to fume with Premier League pencil pushers after controversial Rangers decision"

PL not pushing back 12:30 kick off against Newcastle between UCL semi finals!
The comments section is funny - some saying that it's a conspiracy to help us win the league!

On a general note, this has been a problem for years in England. The Premier League is just about the only one of the main European leagues that doesn't help English teams out when they get to the latter stages of European competition by changing dates and times of games to give them more time to prepare. It's hardly a personal attack on Liverpool - they just happen to be the team in this situation this time round.

I’d have thought the early kick off helps them in Europe, finish the game at 3pm Saturday, play in Spain 8pm Tuesday. Putting the fixture back a day would have meant 2 games in three days, bringing it forward would have been the same, what the fuck is that goofy **** on about? Perhaps he could manipulate some false positive Covid tests, has any Manager tried that before?

Yeah, good point - I wasn't considering their second leg being on the Tuesday and was looking at it from the perspective of them playing Wednesday evening (first leg)/Saturday lunchtime. So the issue on this occasion is more to do with UEFA spacing the 2 legs 6 days apart (whereas ours are 8 days apart) than Premier League scheduling.

There was an article in the Athletic after Klopp's recent complaint, where they looked at how often it happens.

This is the first time Liverpool have had Wednesday-12.30 Saturday this season whereas City have already had to do this three times.

I have some sympathy for his stand as he's been consistent for the last few years, but trying to get the fixture moved, when City have put up with this three times already is trying to gain an advantage on top of an advantage!

Yep - if they're going to do it with their game then they have be consistent and do it for everybody else in future

And I bet no one from the press today will mention this to him when he will probably bring it up again.

Yep, it’s crazy, surely Tuesday/Tuesday and WednesdayWednesday should be the dates, I wonder which buffoon from UEFA decided on this fixture format.

Like fake false positive Covid tests to manipulate the fixture list?
