But, you'd have to temper that with the other point, in that report, that a guy STABBED an officer 8 times and was arrested after being pleaded to surrender, only. Why was that?

It's shocking the differences that have become standard.

We can't make speculation that this was an inevitable avenue and nor should it be, ever.

It doesn't seem to matter, it seems, whether you comply or resist for a certain demographic of society as it's seen by that demographic.

Re-training in de-escalation has to be the way forward to avoid this unnecessary nonsense.

A few years ago 4 men robbed a pawn store and shot their way out before murdering 2 elderly women in their home I'd rather have Grady Judd in charge than some woke constable respecting the assailants rights to a safe space.
 
If you think there is really good chance American cops are going to kill you anyway, and you have done nothing, you would think about it. They aren’t trained properly, they aren’t the brightest and they have guns and a free pass to shoot. Not the greatest combination. America is beyond fucked up.
 
To be fair, it didn't sound as though it was actually at the baseball game, but more in the vicinity behind it somewhere.

Not saying that kids/parents should be exposed to that or the dangers presented by being close by. Nothing will ever change, nobody has the stomach or desire to confront it and it's probably too late now anyway.

You could ban the purchase of firearms, but there are so many out there in the hands of the bad guys, that it wouldn't make any difference. The guns themselves are not the problem, it's the people who have access to them.

That's the thing though mate, you can't. probably more than half of the huge population wouldn't stand for that. It's a huge part of American culture. And nothing will ever change that.
