Real Madrid (A) Post Match Thread

Liverpool will absolutely batter Madrid as well, they won’t miss the chances like we did

One player fucked us up and as much as I love him Cancelo was at fault for both their late goals !!
#
I expect to get slaughtered but he dropped a right pair of bollocks in those final 2/3 minutes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the problem with him and at times Laporte. They're fine in 95% of the premier league games where aside from the top six they can get away with mistakes and a dip in form. At this, the very top level, they get found out.

How is this guardiolas fault??? He isn’t in the field marking players!! Cancelo let benzema go for the cross. Laporte has no idea where rodrigo is even those he is half his size. Wtf you on about pep bottled it??
When he should change he does nothing when we are organized he decides to disrupt the team organization, look we were playing fine and organized , for example when he took Mahrez out, then was all over Madrid players with Cancelo all by himself, and Dinho seemed not to understand or know he should help him.. Madrid started to take advantaged of that, this is an example. We should make subs when we are needing them. Also, Madrid players know how to break the rhythm, be clever, spending time.. A coach can teach or pass that to the players. We all know "angels" in football doesn't succeed that well. We need to have much more better game management. I love Pep, i think he gets to much pressure on his head special to UCL and sometimes it takes out his focus and rational thinking in this competition.

Dias lost his man at the first two goals where Eddie was also half asleep and then gave the ref a decision to make in the box.Laporte first leg and Dias tonight cost us.

We know how to win local competition. The CL seems still difficult for us so when I say we need time it means the mentality is still not there to win the CL.

Real and Liverpool won it multiple times before so they know how to win this competition we are still learning.

And yes time includes nerves and mentality to kill a game once you are 1-0 up in the 90th minute and not throw away 2 goals in 2 minutes.

Real Killed the game, why couldn't we do the same?
When Liverpool won it most recently they didn’t have one player from the 05 squad. What’s this winning it before shite. It counts for nothing. Biggest myth in football. Real didn’t kill the game; they took the lead with half hour to go when probably about 10 mins of that actual football got played. They killed time better yeah but that’s not because they won it 4 years ago christ.

I'm more concern of us keeping our league title than winning this competition frankly. This tournament has too much fakery and shenanigans for me to care too much.
Same here but tonight could have a massive negative affect on that now

The referee can fuck off but we bottled it. Again.

Congratulations to Real Madrid but we've got a habit of looking nervous as fuck when things don't go our way and that's not something we can do if we really want to claim to be the best.

If we can just fast forward to the start of next season, that would be great because I don't have much faith that we're not going to fuck up the league either.

I'm usually the happiest of clappers but not right now, can see us ballsing up the league also. What a time to be alive ffs.

Yes the ref was as bent as fuck but that doesn't deflect from the fact that we had two minutes of utter juvenile pandemonium at the end of the 90. We should've seen it out with ease, but collapsed like a deck of cards.
We didn't deserve that, but a lack of professionalism has killed us
And the ref really was bent in this one from first minute to the last. Even the biased BT commenators said he was "strange." That's one way of putting it.

iv'e said for 5/6 years we will never win this competition, we're fuckin amateurs, 4 times we had these fuckers beat in this tie and failed, same old story, we can't see a game out, as i said fuckin amateurs!

Their pressure caused us to make the mistakes; It happens. Just a shame both mistakes happened in quick succession, and both cost us a goal. We certainly didn't bottle it like many are claiming.

However...

Do not underestimate for one moment the effect that the referee had on that game. The disparity in refereeing got to our creative players early doors, Kev in particular, and it's the main reason why Laporte flashed and it all kicked off.

Our players had to react to it positively and they couldn't because every time they got a foothold the ref would break the play up with a nonsense foul. If I can stomach it I might watch it back and pay attention to his positioning, because he seemed to be coving our passing lanes on more than one occasion. Even Darren Fletcher on comm's said "He's reffe'd the game very strangely". I'll be surprised if he doesn't get a reprimand for that.
Reprimand.?

UEFA will knight him for that performance.
