At this stage the club should know who wants to leave but all of that will be kept under wraps until the season is over.

We know we’re in for Haaland, River Plate say Alvarez is coming this summer and Fernandinho is leaving so we’re a midfielder short. We know Mendy isn’t coming back.

We don’t know which of Jesus, Sterling, Mahrez, Bernardo, Laporte, Gundogan or Zinchenko may want to leave. The club will try to keep any departures quiet until after the Villa match.

Personally I think Jesus and Sterling will be off. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Zinchenko and Laporte go. Hopefully Bernardo more than anyone stays, I could see Gundogan and Mahrez seeing our their final year.

Rodri has been superb this season and his mobility and fitness have improved from that first season no end.

You'd hope so but City like to do things very slowly.

Is De Jong a defensive midfielder? We need someone to replace Fernandinho not just replicate Gundogan.

I don't think so myself, I think we will bring in 3 to add to Alvarez and that's all, even if one of Sterling Mahrez or Jesus leaves. Only if 2 of them left would I expect us to bring anyone else in.

Thats not a squad rebuild there will be 3 at least possibly more.

Who said we arent? Most reports have us looking but they dont have the target names so no headline.
