I'm with you mate. "Agreed a deal in principle, subject to bla bla bla" isn't doing it for me.

Don't get me wrong, it looks like he will be joining, but the way that's worded tells me it is not "done" or we would be saying so. I'm in sales and deals are never "done" until the ink is dry and the money is in the bank. You don't spend the commission before that.
