I don’t think it is specific to us actually. They’re looking into our players but also from Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Leeds, Wolves, now I just heard an interest on Reguilon from Spurs, and so on… Currently he has Traore, Auba, Depay, Luuk De Jong (besides Garcia and Torres of course). Xavi wants the PL intensity against the natural rhythm of La Liga

For a moment there I thought he wanted the entire City's squad! Because if we look at the players that went to Barca and are linked with Barca from our squad, is just too many of them. Aguero, Garcia, Torres, went there. linked to Barca, is Sterling, Jesus, Bernado and sometime back, it was Laporte, Mahrez and if am not mistaken they also wanted Cancelo. That's like 9 players!

Gabby would be a great signing for Barca imo so we do have options that Barca would want to do a deal with Frenkie. Gabby would also command less wages than De Jong is on currently so that would help Barca with their cash flow issue.

I wonder if it’s Ward-Prowse we are really after and FDJ is a smokescreen, the fees being spoken about are very similar, I think he’s 27 (which is about the average for a player in our squad) so a good age in terms of longevity versus experience, we already carry a lot of young players & with Ferna & possibly Gundy coming to the end, it would make more sense, settling in would be a lot easier and set pieces speak for themselves, he’s also a grafter & English should the criteria change
