That’s a bit harsh. Yes he can be very frustrating but he is still a class player. I also think he will benfit greatly from having someone like Haaland upfront.
I think signing an 18 year old for 100m is putting way too much pressure on the kid. The fee needs to be set low enough to blend in with other top talents e.g. 20% above the most spent on an English 21 year old.. whatever that is.
Alvarez for example imo has very little pressure on him.
Even Haaland can point to a very reasonable fee and wages not to dissimilar to KDB.
In addition to Grealish adapting to our style he has the 100M fee to contend with too. Had it been 75m I'm not sure he'd be scrutinised quite as much.
Palmer has zero pressure so I hope we see much more of him and others from the academy if they are similarly as promising.
So imo if we can't at least disguise Bellinghim'S signing (swap deal plus cash) then I'd go for someone older, more experienced and more ready for the mental challenge.

On the basis of last night, undoubtedly, but if we are moving back to a football where the ball is moved up and down the park more and there is greater space, then perhaps not.
From looking at his history, I'm also convinced that Sterling is the kind of player that does much better the moment he resolves his contract situations.

I don't see any available wingers capable of replacing Sterling's ability to create space for other attackers, he's pretty unique in this regard. And Haaland will definitely need these holes to sprint into.
I think we'll be far less dependant on Raz' finishing and might let him focus on his strongest qualities - dribbling, moving oppo's defenders and pressing work

Jude is an absolute warrior!He plays with the apparent experience and mentality of a 30 year old veteran, with the ability to boot.
Beautiful touch, instinct to arrive in the box (as Pep says, you don’t be in the box, you arrive in the box!), works like an absolute dog up and down the midfield, great passing range. And all this at 18 years old (19 in the summer).

Sterling is a frustrating player as he occasionally performs well, but the majority of his performances are sub-standard at best.
I can't see a place for him in next years first team (as i can't see how he gets in ahead of Foden-Haaland-Mahrez who are all better at team play & goal contribution, and lose the ball less), which - in a World Cup year - probably means an exit.
That said, with the impending departure of Gabriel Jesus, it would probably be useful to have him as a sub as he can play on either side (i.e. in place of both Foden & Mahrez), and getting rid of him as well would mean having to bring in a right-sided forward/winger as back-up/ competition for a 31 year old Mahrez so we can balance against Grealish on the left.
As long as we keep hold of Bernardo, we can get rid of both Sterling & Jesus and we can bring in another CM & RW and still fairly comfortably fall within our transfer budget.

Yeah respect your and others opinion. He drives me mad too but thought the comment shambles was a bit OTT. Sterling for all his faults, has been integral to our success over the last 5 years.
