Gavin Bazunu | Joins Southampton on a permanent deal

Everton have been watching Bazunu regularly during the League One season and it’s understood they are interested in the Dubliner and are mulling over their options in the goalkeeping department.

The UK media reported last week that Everton are ready to listen to offers for Jordan Pickford – even if they stay up – as the funds would help Frank Lampard rebuild.

Who's going to buy Pickford? None of the big 6, he's not going to Newcastle. Wolves, West Ham, Leicester and Brighton all have good keepers.

No one else would pay money that would help Everton rebuild.

Besides, if you were going to spend £20m+ on a keeper, wouldn't you take Henderson off United?

I'd just like to point out that a buy back won't really work for City at all.

The problem is that if he performs well at a low-mid table club - Southampton or Palace etc - then in 12 months time Spurs want to replace Lloris, or United De Gea or Newcastle Dubravka and go to buy him.

At that point we're screwed. He won't want to be bought back to be number 2, and if he goes to a side who'd be able to buy him we've lost him permanently.

An extension followed by a 2 year loan is a much better option if we can get him to go for it.

Newcastle fans love Dubravka and Darlow but recognise neither have great distribution. Great shot stoppers but crap with ball at their feet. The feeling is both will be gone.

Watford might be a good bet for him they will probably come straight back up plus Ben Foster about 40 now get him a 2 year loan there

Easy said than done but perhaps a loan to a Premier League club or an European club (Bundesliga would be ideal)
