8 points out of their last 27, and people are worried they might 'do a number on us'

Once the initial nerves are out the way, we will be 2 or 3 up in no time.

The thought of a team containing Tyrone Mings, doing a number on anyone does make me laugh!

I can never understand comments like "if we don't beat Villa then we don't deserve to be champions". So if we don't beat Villa and Liverpool don't beat Wolves, do we still not deserve to be champions? We failed to beat Southampton either home or away - do we deserve not to be champions? Liverpool dropped points at Leicester and home to Brighton - do they deserve to be champions?

It's how we do over a whole campaign. If we don't get the most points then we don't deserve to be champions. If we do get the most points then we do deserve to be champions.
I think that it has come down to one game but probably should have been over by now tbh. Villa at home are viewed as a very winnable game and people feel that a loss/draw here which will most likely mean the dippers prevail, which will be a major fuck up. Despite the obvious fact it was a marathon it essentially has reduced to a cup final that we really should be winning.

Already started. Dippers claiming villa will receive £15-25M if we win the league due to the transfer of Grealish
We paid £100m for Grealish. I like him, but nobody could say it was anything other than a full price. On top of that we’re going to pay them £15-25m if we win the league, something we achieved 3 times in the previous 4 years without him? It’s laughable

The two are in no way mutually exclusive. Anc clearly there is a bit more context in that.

Apparently this money is included in the £100M price. But it was widely reported £100M was the release clause which we paid in full.

Not very good with numbers are they the dippers?

If both city and Liverpool games are tight on the 75 minute, I can see one of their fans 'having a heart attack' and needing a defibrillator so that the game gets stopped for 10 minutes.

I am amazed how all the furore is around Villa possibly morphing into the football equivalent of the Harlem Globe Trotters

Whose to say Wolves wont throw a spanner in the works - Dippers not exactly been ripping up tree's of late.
It was exactly the same when we played West Ham at home to win the league on the last day. In the days before the game all we heard was how motivated their players would be to do it for Liverpool and they were going to turn into Brazil 1970 for the day!

I still remember that pic flying around of Andy Carrol on the piss the night before they played us haha

Yeh I remember that. Wasn’t the professional scouser Nolan playin for West Ham that day as well, lots of talk that he would be ‘trying harder ‘

I have a bad feeling about the last game in a way that I don't normally do about final games we've had before. A good thing I've realised over the years is that how I feel about game rarely has an overall bearing on the actual game being played.
I can cancel that out for you.
I got a great feeling about Sunday game, so does my mrs and two kids. So that makes it 4-1 in good feelings.
