Brilliant, and very poignant. Like you brought a tear. The new kit is beautiful.
It only seems five minutes ago I was stood on the Kippax as a kid watching him plough through the mud and bang in another goal. King Colin.

That is a beautiful shirt evoking fond memories that take me me back to Maine Road. The maroon and white trim kit i wore in my childhood playing football at school. Well done City, well done Puma. We have a new shirt we recognises our past glories to where we are now.Damn, that dust is strong in here tonight, making my eyes water

Agreed, they were the highest quality football shits ever, incredible quality fit and high quality material, aswell as a thing of great beauty. The new kits are brilliant but comfort wise nothing will beat the home and away that Umbro made a few years ago. Currently wearing the navy blue away one. Just wish it had the new badge design.
Hopefully we’ll get a nice maroon strip in 2023-24.
I agree.Hopefully we’ll get a nice maroon strip in 2023-24.
Im interested in seeing the yellow and black one. I like the Manchester bee colours, always think we should link ourselves with it more.
Long history of it throughout city kits, as you're right to point out. Pretty sure every decade since the fifties has had at least one. 1956, 1969, 1989 and 1996 are the most prominent/best examples. It even featured on at least five kits one way or another in the 2010s alone... People have incredibly short memories.dont know why people are saying "West Ham". This colour, Maroon, is a big part of our history. Having it as a trim looks class to me.
What **** around here is cutting onions.Brilliant, and very poignant. Like you brought a tear. The new kit is beautiful.
Now that is nice, very tempted.

1956, 1969, 1989 and 1996 are all full shirts, and there was a couple of full shirts in the 2010s as well as more that were kit trimNot on the shirts though, apart from the Brother shirt we got relegated in 98 as far as I can remember.
I would’ve liked white trim only on the shirt with maroon/white trim on the socks.
They weren’t one-offs.Long history of it throughout city kits, as you're right to point out. Yeah, that's right. Still establishes it as one of our colours and it screams City. The whole 2022/23 home kit screams City. Could wear that in any decade and not look out-of-placeI’ve probably not seen your original post on the subject. I think your talking about maroon on any City kit through out the decades. I’m just talking about maroon on the home shirts.
