Would hate to see him go, but if he wants to leave to get more game time I think the club should facilitate that. Has been a great servant to the club, never caused any shit, comes in and does a job whenever called upon. We will be hard pressed to find a better player willing to play that backup role
 
Fucking love Zinny and he no doubt loves being at City, but there is going to be a time where he’s going to question his standing in the squad / where his career goes from here.

He’s clearly not going to be breaking into our midfield given Peps reluctance to ever play him there and despite being solid as a LB when called upon, Cancelo is still getting the nod ahead of him when Walker’s fit and it’s clear we are still after another LB on top of this.

I wouldn’t begrudge him at all if he wanted to make that move to nail down a starting spot - likely in his natural position.

Same with the rest of our current favourites.
 
Zero chance we sell Zinchenko to a rival IMO.

The only reason we're letting Gabby go there is to avoid losing him on a free, and we've replaced him already with Alvarez.

You can bet Arsenal wouldn't want to pay what he's actually worth, either.

Zinny is irreplaceable for a number of reasons.

New contract needed.
 
You don't sell a player with the heart of Zinchenko and who can play in multiple positions.

I'd be okay if he played in a midfield 2 with Rodri/new DM as well as his usual LB. I bet he could play RB like Cancelo switches if we needed and he'd be fine there.
 
Had a feeling something would be happening with Zinchenko as soon as the rumour about Cuccarela surfaced.

Realistically if we get a left back in Zinchenko isn't getting a kick he will be in the squad as probably the 3rd choice left back and that's not going to be good enough for him. Wouldn't be surprised if the Arsenal thing is actually true.
 
If Zin stays, and we get one other fullback, it would just leave us with two options on each side. In addition, he could be another option in midfield. He is a tremendous member of the squad and that may well be enough for him: not everyone can be the soloist.
