Zinchenko was instrumental in us winning the PL six days ago. Some of our supporters are incredibly harsh.

What a rediculous thing to say.

We can't just cherry pick from the best teams int he world for a few reasons.

1. Cost. We have a budget regardless of what the media would have you believe. The budget is based on revenue streams and sponsorships, and whilst large, is finite. This goes for both transfer fees and wages.

2. Other teams have their own interests to look after. It's not like Bayern is just going to shake out hand and let us pinch their left back.

3. Scouting. You remember where Robertson came from? Hull when they were relegated. Now he's seen as one of the best in the league.

Phillips played under bielsa in a system not unlike our own. Txiki and pep have had him scouted and believe he fits what they're looking for and a profile pep can improve.

Cucurella is a Barca academy product and proven in the premier League. Of course he's a good fit.

We've just bought fucking haaland in a canny bit of business and some of our fans are still whining if we do t spunk 100 million on every position.

No because we don’t need a big name to fill every position. Leave that to the rags. City identify an area that needs strengthened and go about getting what they deem is the right person.

The club needs a LB. preferably one that will push Cancelo but also accept a squad role. Same for Phillips, Rodri needs to keep up the high standard and also we need a capable deputy to step in when required.

Haaland is the marquee signing. We don’t need to replace our excellent DM but help the team if and when required if Rodri is not available.

We only need big signings if we want to replace a key player. So unless someone important leaves then I think we should all be happy with the current business once concluded.

Oh I mean in terms of individual quality. Cucurella is more rare than Phillips imo. Both are equally important to get, as a position

Agree. He has an edge that sets him apart. Brilliant player.
All set for united until they tried to lowball Southampton and revise the agreed free, as was their weird vibe a few years ago
