Not sure why people watch a player for one game and then make a judgement. I don’t think he is worth what he’d cost but wouldn’t judge him from 90 mins

believe it or not some people here have watched him for more than one game

Regarding bellingham, I also think he's overrated and not worth 100m.

Well i for sure ain't judging him on one game & i don't think he's anywhere good enough for us.

pep can improve a ton of players, that doesn't mean we should spend 60m on a "decent" player. we can do better. Also, why should you forget about the fee? I care about the fee because we don't have endless money, despite what they'll tell you, and overspending on one player now means you won't be able to get another player you might need the next window.

How many years have we not gotten a left back because we never had the budget for it, there was always some other priority. If you saved up 5m on every single transfer since we signed mendy you could have already had the budget for it. the budget isn't endless and you need to make the most of it.

I'm not commenting on this game because I've not watched the first half but we've been watching him for a while now and people are obviously going to pay closer attention when we've been linked with him.

I agree but you see it in every thread. A player has a good game sign up him then the same player has a bad game and hes not good enough.

Everyone need to stop judging players especially ones they have never seen before on the game they are watching. I am sure the same is going on with the german LB because he got an assist today.
 
Think Kalvin is a decent player but nowhere near what we require and certainly not good enough to pressure Rodri. If a current England player is prepared to come to us, knowing that himself, and be prepared to sit on the bench, then he's not what I'm looking for anyway.
Bellingham would be pressing for a place from day one so a different proposition. He's not for sale, yet, so its a moot point. Just let him know we're interested.

This is it. Ultimately this isn't a true reflection of him- he is better than this. But, the fee is a bit worrying when for the level of quality he will bring I'm sure there are options that are just as good for less money due to no English tax?
 
Pep will make him into a serviceable option because pep is a fucking brilliant coach. But pep will not always be here.

My issue is that the club has almost become complacent with our targets, your telling me there isn’t a better player out there in Europe for half the reported price? phillips is tidy but nothing more imo. He doesn’t have unbelievable
athleticism, he isn’t a world class passer and he certainly isn’t a brilliant defensive player. He is an above average premier league player but I feel we almost rely on pep to make him “city level” and as a result we are our happy to overpay due to his technical prowess.

The fact we continue to win is more of a testament to peps brilliance more than our recruitment imo
