Why does the official site fixture list have us kicking off at "14:00 GMT" for the winter matches? Is this some unannounced energy-saving measure or a cock-up? I think I may know the answer...
Because by then the clocks will change so it will be 3pm. The electronics and software must be set to automatic rather than corrected by a live human

Those fixtures stink.
Start away, end away, two away games over Christmas. A tough away game to start and a run of toughish fixtures to end the season.
Perfect for restricting City's trophy count.

The only saving grace is the fixtures either side of CL group games look reasonable at first glance.
Nope, the other saving grace is that we are the best team in the land. And all the world

How did they do the fixtures before they had computers, anyone know? Did they get together at Football League hq in Lytham with big calendars and pencils? It could produce some strange things back in the day, City went to Plymouth one Boxing Day after playing them at home on Christmas.

Amazon Prime's mid-week games are well early this year, in mid-October ... last year they had the first week of December and the Boxing Day ... so whoever needed a 30 day trial membership, could watch both within the month ... not this time though, unless you can find a three month trial.

Both away padded seat games. You can share prime video with one other account.

14:00 GMT will still be 2pm. Normal KO after the clocks go back is 15:00 GMT. Prior to the clock change KO is correctly given in the fixture list as 15:00 BST.
Cheers for the correct explanation of BST and GMT, I was just trying to reassure the original poster that the games would be 3pm not 2pm when they came around. Not that we will have many 3pm Saturday games by the time the TV companies get their picks.

Liverpool away Sat and then Arsenal away Tuesday looks tough, no doubt we will be moved to Sunday 4:30 to give even less recovery time
