It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

I think your hoping Jesus goes because you seem to have a downer on him for some reason. IMO.
No I love him, never wanted him to go at all but with one year left I'd love the club to get a decent fee rather than lose him on a free. Plus he needs to be first choice, he deserves to play every week.

No sure what makes you think I have a downer on him, maybe you had a bad day at work and are lashing out at someone ;-) IMO

she's saying both sterling and bernardo to barca which I think it's ridiculous
No I said Sterling and Gabby to chelsea for combined 80m. Bit of a discount for buying both

Bernardo to Barca for 100m I'd be ok with if he really wanted to leave

Haha lashing out. You think that was me lashing out. You was as wrong on the bad day at work too. Also wrong about me working.

Having read your reply I agree it’s better to get money than giving a player away for free.

If someone has to go I’d like that to be Raheem I get the feeling he’s done at City anyway I think he knows it and Pep knows it.

I do hope we can tempt Jesus to stay but as the winger he is not as a striker.

I'm curious about this - I was reading it earlier... so they are basically selling 50% of the retail / merchandise business and 25% of TV rights... won't that then effect their revenue going forward so make the salary cap problem worse?

Exactly, they are effectively taking a lump sum from future revenue - so ongoing revenues would be significantly reduced, because a proportion of them would belong to the financiers- its a bit like an Equity Release - a seriously bad deal.

I think the way it's looking if the rumours are true sterling and Jesus both out could mean lw with foden and grealish and rw with palmer and maherz I'm hoping edozie gets more of a run has he's got the speed just something different to the rest

Got to agree with this

We probably don't want to sell him to Chelsea but it does seem that for all parties, a sale this summer is preference

Sterling has been far from bad, but his performances for the last two seasons haven't been as good as they have in the past

Think he needs a new club, he has been with us for 7 very successful years, he's 27 so still in his prime but given how early he started playing he seems a bit burnt out

Hes well and truely paid back the £49mil we spent on him, and given he has been here 7 years that £49mil will be fuck all in terms of the amortization cost.....we selling him now it'll be for almost entirely profit

And those wages, he just hasn't been justifying them....selling him alone basically covers 90% of Haalands wages

Do think we'll miss him once he's gone...but I think it's for the best
You easily new when Pep was pissed with Sterling he went from getting the odd start to scoring some goals after tons of misses but soon as we lost, drew or he missed 3 sitters in a game he was back on the bench for a few weeks imo

C
ya losing both would be a bit of a blow - which could be softened by getting decent monies for them - £110m ( 50m for Jesus and 60m for Raz)

Wouldn't want them staying in the league but as Tolmie said - decent transfer fees comes from the Premier league.
Cant see us getting that much. Maybe £40m for Gabby and £45+ for Raz, tops.

Wish they'd hurry up. As sad as it is to lose him now it would be even more of a tragedy to get nothing for him. With Tebas the Fucktard on the warpath I'd rather have money on the books to show we are in more than a healthy situation. Same for Sterling.

Hurry up Chelsea and Arsenal
£43m + added payments
