Tonight @8pm GMT Girona play Tenerife in the 2nd leg of Liga2 Play off Final. First leg ended 0-0. Girona have not ended the season well, struggling to score goals and lucky to have scraped into the final. Liga 1 beckons For this CFG club.

There are three City loaned players in their squad, Dario Sarmiento, Pablo Moreno and Nahuel Bustos, with only Bustos getting any real game time of note. Bustos is the clubs 2nd highest scorer but even then he doesn’t often start, with Christian Stuani being preferred up front. Bustos does however tend to come on in matches as an impact sub and has only missed 4 games all season in which he hasn’t played some minutes. So expect him to be involved if not at the beginning at some point in the match.

Also playing for Girona is former City midfield player Aleix Garcia who is expected to start this final Playoff match.

Tbh, had to look for Bustos as couldn't even remember the name, he's 23.....and can't start in front of Stuani who must be in his 70's now, in the Spanish 2nd tier, some of the players we only using for profit make you wonder what was seen in them at any point.

Would be huge for Girona to get back up into the top division. We lost a few years of CFG development when they got relegated.

I wonder if they go up they will get any of our youngsters.

Not sure if any youngsters from City’s Academy would go there. Yangel Herrera perhaps, we could sell him permanently for £18m if they go up. Doubt they would have the money though.

Loans to Girona just haven’t worked in City’s favour, most players seem to lose value after going to Girona on loan.

Potentially Kabore, would be a step up perhaps from Ligue 1 but also the arguement to keep the lad settled where he is as hes doing well.

La Liga is a tough league, the top two generally run away with it but theres bits of quality right across the league and its normally pretty hard going. I think they would have to strengthen to try and stay up. Last time they seemingly backed the players that got them there but they were caught out doing that.
