Russian invasion of Ukraine

I think credible sources are probably in short supply in the midst of a propaganda war. Nearest you can probably get is to pick a source from either side of the fence and try to steer a course through the middle which is where the truth usually/probably lies.
I think I'd rather listen to sources with a track record of reporting real facts than listen to the Russian sponsored misinformation. There's enough evidence to demonstrate that everything that comes out of Russia and its sponsored outlets in the west is non-factual. Of course there will be exaggerations from the other side to boost morale but nothing like the blatant lies that originate in Moscow. So I'd rather not steer a course through the middle. I will ignore any "facts" from the Russian side and be appropriately sceptical about information from the Ukrainian side until there is corroboration which usually happens if it's true.

This all casts doubt on his impartiality for sure, but is anything he said actually wrong?

points that can be made. granted due to time I only listened to about 5 mins of this.

1) He has taken the very upper estimates as solid, the report he's discussing was 100-200 troop losses per day Ukraine side while they were trying to hold some bigger cities that have since been retreated from. He used the very top end of that estimate and the losses were not sustained losses.

2) He's talking from an invasion point of view. not a defensive point of view, From an offensive point of view you are throwing troops at a problem and losing them, from a defensive point of view you literally have everyone defending. so while the loss rate is high its a whole different ball game to what he is comparing it too, even if Ukraine lose the war, there is going to be a Guerilla war of epic proportions after, for example, the Iraq insurgency was about 1% of the population, Low estimates are that at least 20/30% of the Ukrainian public would fight in an insurgency Guerilla war.

3) He mentions the fact that Ukraine cannot replace the ammo for there old soviet artillery without mentioning that they can and are by buying or being supplied by other eastern block countries, and fails to mention that the west are now supplying western units and ammo in large numbers as well as advanced weaponry.

4) He talks how the Rubble is stronger before the war, this is due to false economy mechanics that are sticking plasters. these sticking plasters will crumble soon.

Interesting take on point 4 and how the sticking plaster effect is happening.

Me too....maybe they been at Sevastopol or somewhere else on the Russian side?
Rostov-on-don.
You can get any moderately big ship from the Baltic or White Sea to the Sea of Azov via Canal. There are Length (170m), Beam (25m) and Keel (2.5m) limitations though. Keel Limitations are being increased to 4m across the board but not to be completed for many a year yet
