Nathan Ake

Mee is just not even worth discussing. ZERO reason why it would even be an option other than his personal history.
Cover that is all. We have 3 quality players already in place. He would be happy with less game time and it doesn't completely block Mbete's path.

The club is working great. Academy players and fringe players sold for decent fees. Ake was bought to replace stones until John got his shit together. Use the money to buy another attacker.

No need to panic. If pep wants a couple of players in the club will respond. Get the LB sorted and I am adamant the first 11 is stronger. Any other transfers now will be the icing on top of a very well constructed cake.

Last season we saw what our "cover" had to do, and it was cruical... cannot go around wasting those spots on non-players like Mee.

It's gotta be a serious player that can push the other three cbs.

No one worth their salt will sign up for that role with a World Cup coming up especially who we already have at the club. Any new signing will have to adapt.

Lucas Hernandez
Josko Gvardiol
Lisandro Martinez
Mario Hermoso

All left-footed, versatile, and agressive center backs. Pau Torres is the next Isco or Joao Felix, that guy is unable to play as a LB.
You're right. Felix and isco can't play left back either.

He's been decent for us and I'm sure we'll make a small profit on him. I'd rather he stayed, but in all fairness he probably wants to play so I'll shake his hand and wish him all the best. At the end of the day, he's nowhere near the class of Stones and Dias and probably is behind Laporte, although I think Ake had a better season than him overall.

I must admit, if I was a Chelsea fan I think I'd be underwhelmed with him and Sterling coming in. They are good players, but they are likely to spend £100m on 2 players who are good but if both played against us I'd be reasonably happy.

At the end of the day if we lose Ake, Sterling and Jesus and bring in Haaland, Phillips and Cucurella for - give or take - the same money, it's been an insanely good window.
It would be a great window for incoming but not outgoing. Time will bê needed to settle and adjust and we do not know if it means the team will perform and achieve as we have.

No meltdown here we still got Stones, Laporte and Dias

Chelsea will be signing another one alongside Ake (although Ake won't be at Chelsea for long)

We can't keep every player we have, we have to evolve the squad. Jesus, Ake and Sterling aren't the players we turn to when we're playing Real, Athletico, Bayern and Liverpool are they? Honestly, they aren't. They are good players but they aren't in our first XI and we're going to get around £150m for them! Jesus and Sterling have a year left on their contract and Ake is our FOURTH CHOICE central defender!

We've just signed the best striker in the work (Haaland), he's not just an upgrade on Jesus he is an upgrade on every other striker we could've bought. We bought him for about £8m more than we've sold Jesus for!! Kane - rightfully - was valued at £100m last year and Haaland is younger and has the potential to be completely unplayable. He's as fast as Walker, stronger than Dias and ruthless in front of goal - you must see that as an upgrade on Jesus and Sterling?

Phillips is coming in to replace Fernandinho and is a decent player. He's shown for Leeds and England that he's a better player than his teams league position suggests. He will allow us to rest Rodri but also has the legs, tackling and power to do something that we missed as Fern aged.

Cucurella will come in and be the left back we've needed for years. He'll give us an attacking threat and pace, something we've never had for years now. No more right footers and midfielders at left back.

Honestly, feel free to correct me but this window is probably one of the best we've had in about 10 years.

Reading this thread a few aren't too thrilled with Pau Torres but he is an interesting option. Downside he is part of Spain's World Cup squad and would still be looking for game time leading up to Qatar.
