That was a horrific injury but he was starting to look the part again toward the end of the season. I‘ve said on here before that we should go for Fofana because he has more football about him than most centre backs. However, he needs to play a full season and he only just signed a contract extension in March.
Fofana is an excellent player.

I think so and rightly so. The fact that they extended in March, before he’d even fully demonstrated that he’d recovered from his injury, shows how highly they rate him, and they know other clubs will come sniffing.
As a short term solution for the 4th CB think Ben Mee on a 2 year contract
De Ligt is far more physically aggressive than Laporte and Stones, a natural leader, and is five years younger than both of them. The only problem, save the price, is that his arrival would quickly put someone’s nose out of joint because their playing time would go down. It’s a tricky one for the management if Ake goes.
