It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

I don't think we'll ever do that again after what happened last time.
Starting the season with 3 cbs & thats presuming we sign a left back, is not the same as ending the season having 6 defensive options injured or playing on fumes after a long and grueling season

August - window still open
Sept Oct
Nov 18th season shuts down for world cup

Does the world cup mean nobody plays any football, just a relaxing break for everyone?

Does anybody else feel something is in the pipeline for a big transfer to Manchester city
I just get this feeling that we have cleared 3 or 4 players out and bought in 3 already and 1 on a good wages, so room for a ronaldo or neymar wage

This break the internet signing, or really big deal, or whatever anyone wants to call it….

Well, there isn’t anyone really.

All the big names in football are old, have baggage or we don’t need them.

The only new big names are Haaland and Mbappe and we just bought one of them.

Can anyone give me a name of someone that 90% of City fans would be over the moon with and that this forum would blow up?

Too many playing FIFA this summer :) I prefer football manager myself. A bit more realistic and you won’t just have spare dosh to acquire Neymar like it’s nothing.

I’d still like us to sign Joao Felix but will settle for a left-back.

Pep signing on for another 5 years might do it…

If he’s the same player I’m thinking of, isn’t he supposed to be the next big hype coming out of Chelsea’s Academy?

What the fuck are they selling him for if he’s as good as they all claim?

Left footed CB - that could be an interesting option to help push the Ake deal through.
Tbf we've hyped harwood-bellis, bazunu, brahim Diaz, lavia, delap, Doyle..... All have either gone or likely to go. Supporters generally let the "one of our own" emotion enhance the player. Plus, the player himself might want to get out of there and play now, if the club can't assure that but the guy doesn't want to be patient then it's business sense to cash in with a sell-on/buy back.

seems clear haaland wasn't in training by the pictures, saw everyone pictured but him, hopefully nothing serious
