Any MCFC supporters clubs in Scotland?

Never heard of them running a bus.
I think it is an offspring of the Aberdeen branch.
It will be for tickets more than anything else I imagine.

Not true Benny they only run the occasional bus usually to Newcastle etc
Very active and raise a lot of money for charity
Often meet up for TV games in Broughton Street as well

Sorry @Tim of the Oak but as I said I wasn’t at home and was looking on here waiting for a meeting to start, passing time. My brain wasn’t fully engaged! (As if it ever is) :-)
Thanks Eccles Blue . I should have posted an email earlier on but I thought there would be somebody from the Edinburgh Branch on the forum to enable a more direct discussion. I gained the impression that they were thriving as a Branch from what I saw on Twitter but I don’t know.

I got this e mail this morning.

Just a quick email to let you know that we where awaiting all our current members to rejoin the Portal before taking our next step with regards reviewing all requests, currently we have 94 members which is way higher than we expected and planned, only forming 4 yrs ago we have came so far so quickly. Anyhow we the Committee shall be discussing wether we extend the membership, if so by how many and theres also a chance that we take nobody else on. I just thought I’d let you know whats what just now and wont be long in deciding whats happening.

thanks to everyone that responded.

Not being part of the committee I'm not sure how active everyone is. Although we have done the occasional bus to home games.
I'm sure we have asked for over 20 tickets for Newcastle away
I’ll let you know when I hear further. I was just interested regarding the level of support in Edinburgh. we are season ticket holders that get down to the majority of home games. Was interested to see if they ran buses to home/away. From what you say it sounds limited.

Most members who travel regularly use the train to take some of the strain.
Existing members also come from Fife and the Borders. Most regulars use the upstairs supporters club bar in Mary Ds
But I don't :)

I moved from Manc to the central belt last year. Applied to join Edinburgh branch before the deadline, was told the list had already gone in (well before the OSC deadline).
Applied again couple of weeks ago, got an email last night that they are "already up to 94" and "there's a chance they might not accept" new members. Seems friendly....</sarcasm>

Unfortunately that is the impression given.

I was wondering if they ran a bus, or even just congregated somewhere to watch away games. I think I only made 6-7 games last year, I tried to match up games with travelling for work, but if there was a bus I'd maybe get to more.

Does the Edinburgh branch actually exist or is a scam to get tickets for big matches? I have seen no sign of a branch when travelling by train to matches. If it does exist it must be a very closely guarded secret.

Travelling by rail you do tend to recognise the same faces on match day. Some will be going back to Edinburgh while others will be travelling on to Fife or Aberdeen. That is particularly the case if the TPE train gets cancelled and you are diverted via Glasgow.

A mate’s son was studying in Edinburgh and he went to one of their events a few years back. I think Joe Corrigan attended if I remember the pic correctly.
