Here we go again!

Bournemouth at home.

After being greyed out for a while, seats have appeared. Mostly singles, under ten, in the highlighted blocks. Haven’t counted the seats.

Don't forget to factor in whether Bournemouth will take up their full allocation. Would be surprised if they do.
There's a time limit to them sending these back isn't there?

Why do they all show as sold out then a day later there's loads empty again. Is there really that many people handing back their tickets?

Yes, thousands go on the exchange for some games. Which is why its pointless seat counting home league games as the count will go up and down on an hourly basis. They are all sold anyway and get removed 3 hours prior to kick off.

They've sent the 3rd tier back and they've been sold. Just season ticket exchange seats available now plus the odd return.

It might be pointless to you, but we enjoy doing it. :-)

It leaves a warm and fuzzy feeling seeing the seats selling out and SOLD OUT on the ticket page on the OS.

I've counted seat for years, its pointless on league homes games as its never sold out until 3 hours before kick off. You can count 300 then 250 then 400 then 150, and technically you could have counted 1100 different seats. Bournemouth has been sold out for a week now hundreds have have gone on the exchange.

sounds to me like you have lost the love of seat counting, maybe a break will do you good

It’s important that a seat counter is knowledgeable enough to know the seat exchange is now in use for the Bournemouth game.

Also, City have already sold out the away end upper tier after it wasn’t taken up.

would you recommend training courses for up andcoming seat counters, or certain qualifications to be allowed to partake in seat counting, you sound like the person who could audit poor seat counting posts

Maybe try doing it from the first window of away sales, more like T20 than a 1st Class game?

A work mate of mine wants a pair of tickets for the Southampton game. The site will let me buy one (I’m a season ticket holder) but not a pair unless I buy another ‘Cityzens’ membership.

Any idea when / if they’ll expand it to allow me to buy a pair of tickets for this game for him?

He doesn’t want to buy a membership if he can help it, he’s not a regular match goer so it’ll just be this one game.

Not exactly the sexiest game of the season is it so surely there must be loads of seats left.
