Oleksandr Zinchenko

It’s hard not to be sentimental at moments like this.

From the moment he arrived at City, I assumed that he would be another promising young player we had acquired who would end up on loan at a remote outpost in Europe, and then play out a professional career at somewhere other than City.

But Zinny would have none of that.

Through sheer force of will, determination, and true grit, he persevered and eventually triumphed. It’s almost like he said to himself I am going to keep turning up at City training and become part of the furniture. And it worked!

Zinny was never the greatest player in our team. He is a gifted attacking midfielder who had the tenacity and adaptability to transform himself into a left back. His accomplishments since that date have been remarkable, and I’m quite sure he will also be missed in the dressing sheds.

So go well Zinny. That blonde presence on the left will be missed, but go with good cheer knowing that your resilience, courage and determination captured the hearts of many City fans.

Good luck to the lad, very honest Pro. I like him. Sadly for him, wont win much silverware from now on.

Wonder if he'd sign my City shirt ?
I know Raz wouldn't :)

I rate Zinchenko, given an extended run of games in Arsenal's first team he will become a very important player for them.

A very good player, who wasnt quite good enough....but who has a huge heart and an incredibly likeable character.
I suspect our club made an indelible impression on him and subsequently he will always be a Blue from here on in.
Almost to a man (woman or Q ;-) ) our support will always think of him fondly as a result of that.

Good luck and all the best.

I'd put my house on him signing a City shirt if given the opportunity, hope he gets some success at the Arsenal just not at our expense.

Good luck to him. He'll likely win less trophies but will be paid more, become a regular for a great club and regularly play in front of 60,000 at home. It's a great move for him, to be fair.

He'll most likely live within a couple of miles of where I live. Hopefully, I will get to see him around.

I could only watch about three minutes of the interview before switching off, he obviously doesn’t want to go and looks in complete shock. Pretty fucking appalling in my opinion. Players come and go but let’s say Raz going which he obviously wanted, Gabby wanted more game time, but Zinchenko? Fuck that, it’s not always about the best players, it’s about the soul of the club, today I feel another bit got chipped away.
Hahahaha fuck off then
