How much did Brewster go for some 3 seasons back?
Not sure the ticktok new signing would be impressed.Forest might be a good 12 month loan deal for all parties.
I wonder if this has ever been done before.
A 2 year loan with the option to make it permanent at the end of the loan (for £23m) - but the option belongs to city not Southampton.
I.e. we can make them buy him at the end if we want to or call him back if not.
Looks that wayIf Southampton are bidding they must have had some encouragement from the delap camp
I agree with this.Pleased the club turned down the deal. If we are going to play with an out and out striker it makes sense to have an additional back up as Alvarez is coming off a full season in Argentina, without any break, and Haaland we dont know how he will cope, injury wise, over a full season in the Premiership.
5 subs next season, absolutely no reason he should not get game time.
The bloke from the academy, from Manchester City the Champions of England to Southampton, great career move.....notThat bloke they got from our academy knows who to go for doesn’t he? Kinell. Haha.
Would be good if we do sell providing we get a buy back in there somehow. Prefer a loan, mind.
Or do you take the cash and put in a buy back clause if we feel there are question marks about him and especially his injuries?Do we need the cash?
No.
So let’s either keep him, and give him some playing time, or loan him out.
