TV Series

I'm a 52 year old fan of the games and by no means a fan of inclusion for inclusions sake in any walk of life, best man/woman for the job regardless of creed and colour. Lance Reddick is a brilliant actor and delivers in this in spades. My brain did go, oh he's white in the game and less than a minute later The Wesker character was accepted as a black dude. Had he been shit my impulse would have been as you are implying and maybe turned me off.

Millennials are in their 20s now and dominate the arts, so i do fully expect an Mixed Race/Chinese/Asian Indian, Fullbearded James Bond driving a Prius vaping and having a Pint of Cockweasel IPA, "Paper not plastic shtraw" in the near future...Welcome to the new world order

Great post. It was more a tongue in cheek backhand at reviewers for the main sites. Lance Reddick is absolutely brilliant. In Fringe and his cameos in Lost. Nails everything he touches.

Just finished 1883, if you like the old west it’s brilliant, and the young girl who stars in it is very watchable and has a great character to play.

I didn't get on with that.
I don't like the girls narration, just grated on me a bit and the old (main guy) guy's voice was too garbled for me, struggled to make out what he was saying Also he did things an 80 year old probably couldn't do, like beating people up. :)
Fair do's though, most will enjoy it.

We see things don't we, though, B? Hollywood changing narratives and people not accepting the lie they've been told cos they can't understand why that would happen!

It's tiresome to inform and I let people discover things on their own now!

Oo! Oo, wait til you hear about Cleopatra!! ;)
To be fair mate, most people (including me at times) don't realise they are being duped, because they don't have that knowledge, or haven't been educated in that field.
Please don't stop trying to inform, I've found your posts informative and educating, and not only in this thread.
I don't always automatically agree and nod my head, but I certainly have a think, and that's a good thing, I reckon.

Loving the outlaws on bbc, very underrated. Good mix of drama and comedy.
The first series was very good. I think they got the mix right.
Second was a bit meh for me, a bit over the top and stretched it somewhat plot wise.
Having said that, merchant still has my respect as a comedy writer/ actor. There are some genius scenes/ lines in it.

I appreciate that comment, I really do!

I know what you mean about the second series being a bit ott, but I'm willing to suspend my disbelief as it's not meant to be too serious, and it progresses the story nicely.

Love Lance Reddick, having watched many interviews, when he was auditioning for ‘The Wire’ never understood why they didn’t just go BOOM, that’s Cedric Daniels, he was perfect, plus, he always reminds me of Woody Strode who I loved back in the day.

Tbh I’ve not considered watching Resident Evil here as I remember playing the game years ago at night and it really shitting me up haha, but now I know Reddick’s in it, I may be prepared to ‘suffer’.

Woody strode there's a blast from the past. Was in a lot of stuff when I was growing up. Can see the resemblance as well. Top man was Woody.
