Is it worth booking a train even though the chance it could get cancelled. How Quick do they normally process refunds

Aylestone, 2.5 miles south of stadium, scouse car parking south of the stadium ?, they are on the gasworks, you will pass on the way to the stadium, and on your way back if you walk.

Gas Works is south of the KP Stadium.
Have they definitely got parking south of the stadium even though we've got the south stand?
Seems bad planning if this is the case.

Go on line, Parking for community- shield-sat-30th July, the FA have put out details, the coaches are parking near the University, also near the pubs which have been allocated, and advise that City park north of stadium and that lot south of stadium, at the gas works. I booked on carpark d, filbert street, £20.
Cheers mate appreciated

We're thinking of going to Aylestone just south of Leicester City Centre before the game.
Anyone else heading there, and if so any recommendations for pubs etc?
The Old Aylestone Social Club is the main meeting point but the Union pub is next door and the Black Horse across the road, which are Blue only. There's a craft ale pub round the corner and loads of good grub.

The Union and Black Horse are firing up the BBQ's for us as well.

Our branch (East Mids) has had discussions with the plod about this, and yes they admit its a bit of a fuck up, especially when you consider there'll be about 2000 blues in Aylestone. They are also apparently routing the scouse buses through Aylestone as well. They'll get a warm reception passing through a sea of Blue, no doubt. The Gas works will be well policed but the dippers will get a bit of a surprise when they're on route to it.

The 20-odd coaches at Aylestone will have 6 police outriders for company when we leave.

Beautiful.

Cheers for the heads up Blue.

Do you need to book into any of the venues or book parking anywhere ?

Our plan was to park somewhere in Aylestone and try to bus to the KP however if the feral skip rats are massed at the gas works we might look at an alternative.

What would you suggest?

Yes they are parked on the south side, but everyone approaches the stadium from the north end of the stadium, all our coaches are parked north near the university.

When you say everyone approaches from the North end do you mean everyone or just our fans?

Three of us are coming by car and thought about parking and having a food and beer a couple of miles or so out to avoid traffic near the stadium.
As Aylestone is south and we've got the south stand it seemed to make sense however if you have to access the KP from the north we might have to rethink.

I last went to the KP in 2011 for the cup game and we parked at the Rugby stadium and went in the pubs in the city centre without any mither from the home fans who were great and remember we were seated in the North East corner.

Don't want to take any chances with this feral mob after nearly chinning one at the 2019 CS on Wembley Way.

Uber is your friend.

Although always worth asking any of the coaches if they have space and jib it to the ground. A fiver to the driver should do it.

Park near Aylestone mate and get the bus or taxi up, you'll be fine. There's at least a dozen supporters clubs coaches parking up in Aylestone (do every year) with some good boozers dedicated to City organised by east mids. My personal favourite is the Black Horse.
