Send your cv to the recruitment department, they're clearly missing the radical tactic of just paying what clubs want ;)not as much as our negotiations on this deal.
sell your back up LB without a replacement in the building.

Keep making excuses while we continue to play with makeshift LBs.And just one of those weird coincidences that their best player plays on the right wing for them, if only we had a left back that's not as good as our current left back then they wouldn't have passed to Salah at all
Brighton have said Cucurella is better than Ben White who has cost Arsenal well over £50 million + add ons.The last sentence is 100% correct so it appears Brighton would sell at 50m, so would you agree there is only one price?
So we pay or go?
Cucurella has had enough game time to start next week. (Potter)Will he be playing at Old Trafford next Sunday or West Hams ground ?
Loved him but Pep will sell I he does not want to stay.Surely when Zinc was sold we MUST have had a guarantee on at least one of our LB choices??
We all know what Pep's said, but he must be slightly alarmed at our current FB options?
Then everyone tries it on us. We are trying to ensure that clubs know if it’s not a fair price we walk. He isn’t the only full back in the World. I do agree we have spent too long on this transfer and misjudged it probably but we can’t be seen to cave. Bigger picture and all that.I look at it like this. We paid £45mill for Phillips, who is basically a squad player, and a backup for Rodri when he needs a rest or if he gets injured.
So paying the same or slightly more for Cucurella, a proper left back, which we don’t have, who will be the 1st choice left back, and who will play the vast majority of games, bar injury.
I get Bloom is trying to fleece us for an extra £10mill. But if you take everything into account, the importance of the left back position, and Cucurella to fill that position, then we should bite the bullet and pay what Bloom wants. Hopefully City won’t have to deal with the Bloom again after that or in the future?
So no point anyone posting anything other than saying “good job City”?I’m amazed that the vast majority who post on the transfer thread have not been snapped up by premier league teams their expertise on the running of transfer dealings is outstanding and their financial acumen is second to none
Arsenal overpaid. Brighton got very lucky there. If Brighton think everyone is as daft as Arsenal they will get a shock!Brighton have said Cucurella is better than Ben White who has cost Arsenal well over £50 million + add ons.
I sort of get what you mean mate, Brighton have a price and apparently will not budge so by definition that is the price. We can't dictate the price Brighton sell at, we will however have a limit to what we will pay and a point where we will walk away.We are not in any position to dictate a price, that's the point I am making.
They don't want to sell, just like we don't want to sell Bernardo.
Exactly, multiply that by every transfer deal because you get a reputation for getting taken to the cleaners on fees and before you know it you're Manchester United.People saying just pay the extra it's only an extra 10m.
What if it was an extra 20m or 30m? Should we just pay that too?
There has to be a cut off point for every player.
City will decide what that point is.
This is why i think we have a guarnteed Plan B...whether its one of the ones we have been linked with or someone compeltely out of the blueSurely when Zinc was sold we MUST have had a guarantee on at least one of our LB choices??

Nouri?Cancelo badly need some competition on the left. Seems like there is no good alternatives to Cucurella, hope we pay up. Raum, Sosa and Grimaldo all seem very poor defensively
This how I see it.I sort of get what you mean mate, Brighton have a price and apparently will not budge so by definition that is the price. We can't dictate the price Brighton sell at, we will however have a limit to what we will pay and a point where we will walk away.
I’m hoping…because I don’t think City or Brighton budge and Cucurella is burning his bridges while Bloom makes an example of him. This is why i think we have a guarnteed Plan B...whether its one of the ones we have been linked with or someone compeltely out of the blue
I personally don’t rate him. Bang average for Wolves. Need at least one more season at Wolves before he moves to a top 6 clubNouri?
I can see both sides of the argument. Stay fiscally responsible & not allow our y-fronts to be drawn down & risk losing the player, or pay what Brighton want & risk other clubs profiteering by adding an even bigger City-Tax than they already do.No offence. Not wishing to get into a spat with you.
You don’t need to be an expert to know we need a left back, and we have so far made a very healthy transfer profit.
For the sake of £10mill-£15mill, which in the overall yearly financial picture at the club is nothing, especially if we win the PL title again, and finally win then CL, not to mention good domestic cup runs. Trophy prize money aside. TV money has gone up again. So has CL money. City have signed new sponsorship deals across the board. Season tickets have sold out. Match tickets are selling fast. And the new home shirt has been a huge success.
Just bite the bullet on 1 more signing, pay Bloom what he wants, and we finally have a proper left back, and a complete team and squad ready to dominate PL and European football this season.
