Big year for Walsh. She could probably play for almost any club, but if all the new players settle here well and it looks like the team is moving forwards and can win things, then that could be enough to persuade her to stay. Possibly.
 
See local news bigging up Blackburn Rovers for having Georgia Stanway, Keira Walsh and Ella Toone in their youth team , yes great well done Blackburn, but surely there's another youth academy that these 3 played for , that turn them from youth players to 1st team players and on the road to International players !

Not just those 3, City have regularly provided upwards of a third of the England squads over the last few years and regularly have 9 or 10 representatives.

I know mate , but was just pointing out that these 3 girls also came though City's youth academy. Also not forgetting Ellie Roebuck who also came through the youth academy via Sheffield Utd .
 
I’m not impressed by the City Womens Youth Academy. I can only think of Khiara Keating, Esme Morgan and Jess Park as ‘proper’ graduates and at a stretch Sandy MacIver (who has returned to the club). We could even claim Ella Toone although we released her as she “wasn’t good enough”!!
Expected so much more from Jayne Ludlow but our womens academy team are dire.

Didn’t know those players - Ramsden, Taylor (wasn’t Gareth was it), Prior, Dahou and Samson. Was Pullen - Millie Pullen - a highly rated Wolves academy player linked with us in the past? Has she signed for City?
 
On 9 June the MCFC announced that 3 City players had been included in the WSL Team of the Year 2021/22. Lauren Hemp, Alex Greenwood and CAROLINE WEIR.
Since then not a single mention of one of City’s best players. Contract finished and signed for Real Madrid according to the press. Even that useless Taieb got a farewell thanks from the club when she was shown the door.
What has Caroline Weir done to receive this treatment from the club. It’s as if she never existed as a City player.

What would you like them to say? Her contract's ended, she's no longer a City player, and she signed for Real Madrid in July, when she was a free agent. She's like any player who's left the club on (I assume) good terms - gets a 'thanks for your service' and goodbye. Do you want a feature-length documentary or something?

I would have liked them to have treated her with the same respect that they showed to the other players who left City this summer. I don’t want a feature-length documentary but Caroline never even got a “thanks for your service goodbye”. 4 seasons and some wonderful goals and nothing said when she left……not good.
