Urmston munters are miles better than Stretford munters though. Unless they live near the sewage works as the constant smell makes their faces look like they’ve smelt a shit bomb.
Urmston Munters, The Jam’s less successful follow up to Eton Rifles?

Think more to do they need defenders and Cucurlla is a very good player who now knows the premier league
I know, but its strange they dropped out of Ake deal and moved to Cucurella if their plan is to play him at LCB.

Chelsea clearly haven’t a plan buying players. Like United has done over the previous decade, they are looking at us. If we are interested the player has to be good. Well. We look for players that are good enough to fit the way we play with the knowledge Pep will make them better.
Other teams don’t or do not have a decent manager and therefore it’s hardly ever gonna work for them.
But it’s their club and their business. We just do what we feel is right and over the last 6-7 years that’s been a proven business model.

What I can’t understand with Chelsea. They have Chillwell to play LB and the young lad (20) Maatsen out on loan at Burnley who was excellent and their best player by far.

So Cucurella is Chelsea's Aké/Koundé alternative?

No my post is in reference to why they walked away from the Ake deal as the Kounde deal became a possibility.

I would not be surprised to see Cucurella used as a left sided centre half occasionally though, particularly if Chelsea fail to bring another centre half in.

No way cucu is anywhere close to Cancelo or walker in terms of quality nor Brighton is anywhere close to those two selling clubs.
Mr Blossom needs a reality check .
Apple, orange .
Also it's worth pointing out that the Cancelo fee is clearly bullshit. Cancelo cost £27m plus Danilo. It's only because of accounting bullshit that this comes to £60m. No-one in football seriously believes that Danilo was worth £33m after 2 seasons as a backup player.

And while we're on it, you can say the same thing about Dias, who only cost £62m if you accept that 32 year-old Otamendi (with a year left on his contract?) was worth €15. In reality, he cost about £50m.

I'm not conviced about those as a 3. Either way though if they are still playing wing backs does that mean they have bought Sterling to play centrally ?
I only seen Chelsea twice in pre season and it looked like Sterling was playing just off the from man which was Havertz. I'd be surprised if Tuchel changed his ways away from a back 3.
When Sterling was linked with Chelsea I though personally that it won't work out for him at Chelsea just with the system Tuchel plays. It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out with Sterling at Chelsea because Tuchel won't give him the arm around the shoulder like Pep has done on numerous occasions.

We're not getting this player.. shouldn't this thread just die instead of compete with longest pointless thread ever?

Yep. But don't let the thread police or the moaning minnies catch you saying that otherwise they won't have anything to do all day.

Say two people posting in the thread and keeping it alive.
