Bernardo Silva

Players could well be asking for more money, like Jesus, Sterling etc and being sold because they aren’t getting what Haaland is.
Rubbish, Sterling did not leave because we wanted the same/more then Haaland, same with Jesus.

Jesus wanted to be the main man at a club, Sterling and Pep clearly had clearly gone cold relationship wise, it was time for Sterling to move on, he clearly was not going to renew.

You have to wonder where Bernardo would stand at Barca next season when Messi rocks up again ,you assume they would go back on any wages and promises when he resigns ?

It must be a coincidence that we’ve had to sell people beginning the last season of their contracts for the first time.

Not the first time. Sane was in the last year of his contract when we 'had to' sell him. Tried with Garcia too but Barcelona took thd piss so we kept him. Got 5m for Kolarov in his last year. 15 for Otamendi.

Players like Adebayor, Hart, Robinho, Bridge, Bellamy I think were also sold in their last year, or loaned out and then let go for free or a minimal loan fee.

Barca sources indicate that Bernardo's agent Mendes has approved the possibility of a swap deal.
Gutted if it happens.
Barca would certainly have to pay us morevt than we pay. De Jong would also have to take a pay cut.

It is blatantly obvious we have zero interest in DeJong. Regardless of what Barcelona offer. Plus he would have to want to come, which is an unknown. A swap is a non-starter.

If Bernardo leaves and we don’t sign a left back we’ve zero chance of winning the league. We’re handing it to the vermin with a bow on.

Fucking mental even entertaining the idea of selling him this window, at any price.
Agree, I see him and Foden as our most consistent attacking players, let him go and we are looking at runners up

I agree. Jesus also wanted to ensure he is Brazil's no 9 and playing every week is the best way of achieving that. With Zinnie, I had expected him to move so he could play in his favoured midfield. Yesterday blew that theory out of the water. It was clear as day that Sterling was not a happy chappy. I think Pep admitted that they had had 'words' and disagreed about Raheems playing time. Time for them all to go for different reasons, Not time for Bernie to leave though.

When Pep says he doesn't want unhappy players I really believe him. He relies on players support when he rotates them. He doesn't like 'sad' faces in the changing room. This season, he will be looking for total support from the squad before he commits to renewal, I think listening to him yesterday, thats the only reason he has not already signed up for a couple of more years.

Oh boo hoo. If he wanted to leave so desperately he should have made it clearer sooner if in fact he is actually so unhappy and wants to leave. No offense to Bernie as I'm big fan of him and I don't think he's as much a child to sulk as such but if not getting exactly what you want exactly when you want is enough to make your game and team suffer, too fucking bad. This isn't primary school, sportsmen are adults and should act as such.
He wanted to leave last year so how much sooner does it need to be . Because of his love for city he hasn’t put a request in but I hope he stays one more year then we let him go

It's bizarre how City is very kind to Barca since scheduled a middle of the season friendly at their home and to openly welcome very late transfer for our key player to move to them whenever their club feels ready!
There’s several reasons we’re best pals with Barcelona despite that club trying to fuck us over at every opportunity.

One of those reasons sits in the dug out, the others sit in the boardroom.

I have nothing against doing business with Barcalona if it is the club Bernardo wants, but c’mon City this is done now.

They can pay the going rate at the beginning of the window.

C’mon Bernardo Barca might not be the dream move it sounds and they treat certain players very poorly who they once treated well.

Exactly, why we're so happy to help them out is a complete mystery. Txiki, Ferran, you work for Manchester City Fc and should want the best for us, stop being so nice to your former club who couldn't give two shits about us

Is it bollocks, if there was even a whiff of putting Barcelona interests above cit'ys they'd be out, There isn't a single instance of it. I'ts a ridiculous idea.
