If he goes I think we can close the "weaker or stronger" thread.
Ridiculous that this is going on at this juncture.

Torres - how many clubs sell key squad players mid season? - we did to them.
Barca actually petitioned/tried to bribe UEFA to start investigating us - what do we do....nothing
Garcia - they tapped up our player for over a year, got him to run his contract down so he went on a free - what do we do - nothing....pep has some veiled dig at them in a press conference but thats it......
They continually talk about Bernardo Silva as a player they like/want - compare that to what our manager/execs do when asked about players from other teams - one standard response - "we dont talk about players at other teams" - yet they publically tap them up ---- what do we do ------nothing.
Yes our behaviour is impeccable but we also have to fight back against the dirty tricks that the likes of Barca and their media play
you are ,in the head :)Thanks
I just feel we are a little bit soft at times
This is seems more of a one way tie. I still maintain he will not be sold this season regardless of Barcelona's hot air.If he goes I think we can close the "weaker or stronger" thread.

If he goes we would definitely be weaker but still favourites. If he goes I think we can close the "weaker or stronger" thread.

We probably have a replacement on the shortlist but wheter that player is sold is another matterIf he goes we would definitely be weaker but still favourites.
We wanted Raz and Gabby to stay.
But not the others.
Call them out publicly for starters (Not Pep as he needs to focus on the football on the pitch - but someone from the hierachy)...call out the corruption that is going on....the debt they are in and still signing players, leveraging their future to still sign players when they cant even afford to pay the ones they have. What would you do about it all? As a club or heirarchy running a club.
I still remember the earlier rumours surrounding Sergio Aguero being leaked from both Real Madrid and to a lesser extent Barcelona and we still kept him during his prime yearsI think there is no truth that we just let Barcelona do whatever they want. They have not managed to buy any of our key players, despite a plethora of headlines, year after year, of all of the players that they want and will be taking from us. They have a media desperate to maintain their relevance, just as United have here, and they have an army of Twitter warriors who link them to every player under the sun. I suppose BHA supporters could argue the same about our constant Twitter narrative about Cucurella too.
The fact that our board and manager were employed by their club means nothing.
The narrative about Bernardo is nothing that we didn't face about Sergio and David S, year in and year out. Regardless, we stand tall as champions.
unpopular opinion but if he goes, maybe we could move Foden into the midfield role and get Bowen on the wings. Bowen seems like the type of player to fit right in here, problem is Westham would probably ask for 80m.We probably have a replacement on the shortlist but wheter that player is sold is another matter
We had already had Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer when we sold Ferran Torres mid season.
Exactly. They can do and say what they want - and, mostly, it comes from newspapers or Twitter, not the clubs - but it is us and our relationships with our players that counts.I still remember the earlier rumours surrounding Sergio Aguero being leaked from both Real Madrid and to a lesser extent Barcelona and we still kept him during his prime years
That would make it off limts for starters and Bowen isn't a £80m playerunpopular opinion but if he goes, maybe we could move Foden into the midfield role and get Bowen on the wings. Bowen seems like the type of player to fit right in here, problem is Westham would probably ask for 80m.

call out the public tapping up of players when their chairman is stating how much he likes Bernardo SIlva or other players...
Make official complaints to whoever it would be about them publicly tapping up players....I see Leeds are about to complain sbout them for something to do with the Raphina transfer
Yeah that's why I said "problem is", he is definitely not an 80m player, more like 45-50m but a good player with lots of room for improvement. That would make it off limts for starters and he isn't a £80m player
We can't let him go because I can guarantee we won't get a replacement in this window. We've all on getting a left full back in before the window closes let alone another attacking midAs others have stated if he wants to go, let him go. His value will never be higher and it's unlikely he'll sign an extension. But if we slack on getting an equal quality replacement in, this season will be like 2/3 injuries away from being an absolute shitter.
I think Raz wanted more money that we were offering. Whether that is down to KDB/Haaland is open to debate. We wanted Sane to stay.
Not sure how bad we wanted Gabi and Raz to stay, but I agree loosely we did. If we really wanted them to stay, they'd still be here.
Raheem has been rejecting a contract for at least 2.5 years now, before Haaland signed, before Kevin's extension. Gabi would have left some time ago over playing time, he hung on believing he would be Aguero's replacement. Two years too long, for his own sake imo.
Honest question, do you genuinely believe what you are saying? Sure, it is possible, let's put that aside. Is that what you honestly think is happening? If you do, fair enough. There is logic there, and enough to argue it. In the same way there is logic in Pep and Txkiki deliberately helping Barcelona out while here.
I woudn't say that even with the points lead at that stage but we were covered. Liverpool maniuplated a way back in the title hunt with them cancelling a few games through their (alleged) Covid casesAnd had already won the title too.
