I really hope he stays but then next year surely we need him to of either had a u turn and signed an extension or left.

I’m not going to get too upset on the fee, we all know it’s low but could well be a gentleman’s agreement we had this year.

It sounds as if we are waiting for Barca to bid that magic amount and we accept and he goes. We cannot run it like this it needs to be done earlier in the window as it’s too late now and would give our rivals a boost.

Huge loss for Liverpool Mane leaving but they did it well beginning of the window and all the talk is now on Nunez.

If he has to go we do it like that.

It would make them a more important creditor.

If someone is faced with incurring an extra €10m debt if they don't pay off Leeds, they'll put Leeds to the front of the queue.

Thats right but if I’d volunteered to defer wages and then the club sold some TV rights I’d expect to be paid out and not sit out of pocket whilst the club spunked all its newly acquired cash on some new toys.
 
80m euros, absolute joke of a fee for a player with pedigree of him and and season he just had also he improved a lot under Pep since Monaco, he could be a crucial player for us in next 5 years too.
when we want to buy we are quoted 60m for Cucurella and 100m for Grealish and thats not euros but gbp.

Liverpool and Dortmund were the masters of charging Barca what they should be if they really want a player look at Coutinho, Dembele both cost them way above 100m pounds in total. and both kind of flopped for them.

difference was Dortmund and Pool didnt try to be like "we accept lower fee if you are not happy here".
watch them when we go for Bellingham. oh City is bidding and you want go go there? then its 20m more not 20m less on top of the price we wanted to ask...

maybe its only me, I dont give a shit of players welfare once they leave us, kind of hope Jesus, Sterling will find out how big mistake they did, and they never come close winning the league ever again neither any CL success or put their hands on any trophy club level.
actually would kind of laugh if Bernardo went there and within a year Barca would really struggle to pay his salary or would do what they do to De Jong.

make no mistake all these players leaving, leaving under market price just to facilitate their wishes, is not making us stronger but potentially weaker.

I honestly can't imagine the moral amongst players being very high what with deferred and reduced wages, players being owed money and all this whilst the club bring in more players which will upset those already taking a hit. It'll only take a few bad results and the place will become very toxic. Regardless of the weather/lifestyle I wouldn't advise a player go anywhere near the club ATM. Bernardo may regret it very quickly...

I try not to second guess what City are thinking and doing, but if they are allowing Bernardo to leave, and if Barcelona can find the money at the end of the Catalan rainbow, I will be well f*cked off if it’s less than €100mill.

We are playing Barcelona in a charity match, but Manchester City Football Club are not a charity, and shouldn’t be seen as a charity

So if you’re reading this City and you let Bernardo go for less than €100mill, you’re (f*cking) mugs.

Wouldn't surprise me if Barça offset part of the cost of a Bernardo bid, with part of the gate & TV receipts from this game...
 
It would be nice if some smart journo asked Bernado if it was true that he wanted to join a club massively in debt, has difficulty paying what it owes players and faces a battle to register them too. But in retrospect I guess he has far too much respect for City to leave now when he knows it's almost impossible to replace him this season.
