They’ve been stung with a 35mil tax bill for pulling some stupid accounting trick that’s backfired. Genuinely more concerned about getting the Torres money than Bernardo leaving.
Seriously though Neymar would be a monstrous addition to this team on the wing. He would be both another target for our new system of "pack all the playmakers into the middle and ping balls behind for Haaland" and a supplier.
Neymar - Haaland - Foden
Gundo/Grealish - Rodri - KDB
Would be potentially the scariest midfield and attack assembled since Xavi-Busquets-Iniesta, Neymar-Suarez-Messi
It would also be hilarious seeing a sizeable part of the fanbase having to do a 180 and start liking him, and seeing him generally dispel some of the nonsense people come up with about him.
Exactly. At least leverage the sale of Bernardo in the deal so we could get de jong, and Barca could solve the wages dispute. an opportunity missed?Agree with you totally but we seem to be happy to let players go who want to leave and to whatever club they want to go to.
Sane and Eric Garcia are 2 examples of young players who wanted to go to specific clubs in their own country.
Bernardo appears to want to go to Barcelona and going by comments on this thread, it looks like we may accommodate him at a ridiculously low selling price.
I just don't understand it?
pep disagrees with you unfortunatelyBernardo is ten times the player Grealish is, let's stop kidding ourselves. I'll support him whenever he pulls on the shirt, but it was as unecessary and egotistical a signing for us as Ronaldo was for them lot. He's nowhere near intelligent enough to offer what someone like Bernardo has.
pep disagrees with you unfortunately
Phil Foden in the 8 role if Bernardo leaves, he has the workrate, technical ability and passing range to be a real star in that role.Would definitely think Grealish would step back to the 8 role if Bernardo left. If we were genuinely after Paqueta as a replacement, I think he'd be good on the LW in our team (I know he's an AM/CM, but he's very good at beating people & retaining possession).
Sick to the stomach… 55 million.
been said a hundred times before pep will not play Foden in midfield when KDB is herePhil Foden in the 8 role if Bernardo leaves, he has the workrate, technical ability and passing range to be a real star in that role.
Am I missing something here or does the fact that this isn't on the front page of Sky Sports mean this might not be a thing? ESPN isn't mentioning it either and both of those outlets love to report on turmoil at City.
From that point of view it might be realistic if he goes to the wing and then Foden would go to the middle or even Grealish.-Neymar waiting by the phone.
He is asking about City.
I would like to see Foden dropping back into midfield. But that team would cause some damage.Seriously though Neymar would be a monstrous addition to this team on the wing. He would be both another target for our new system of "pack all the playmakers into the middle and ping balls behind for Haaland" and a supplier.

Is this a guess or do you know something?Bernardo out, one of our front either Foden or Grealish will be moved permanently into midfield and Neymar is in as replaced forward.
