Wouldn’t the north stand if done the same as the south stand make the stadium around 62,000 capacity?

Capacity pre south extenton was roughly 47.5k, its now 53.5k and that includes extra seats added at the front - although the majority came out for advertising boards, I'd guess at 500 ish still there. That would mean SS3 holds about 5.5k add that to the 53.5k and we would be at 59k.

They’ll also add 500 or so seats by building an extra small block at the ends of the side third tiers at the North Stand end just as they did at the south side.

Yes i'd forgotten those so maybe the SS3 has around 5000.

The only way they make it work is if they sell more value season tickets and reduce the price of tickets for individual matches. How many empty seats would we see if the club were to extend over 60,000?

We’d have empty seats if we had a 30k capacity. For league games they mainly come from the ticket exchange and/or single seats not being sold.

there was rumours that the etihad would get a full led wrap at one point, agree, it would look amazing!
