It was more his work rate and failure to support the right flank, which was again targeted; he’s more than useful to the attacking 3rd but the set up insists he puts the yards in the other end, which he consistently lacks!

You are seriously just looking for reasons to slag Mahrez. How many times did palace get to our half that we had to defend. They scored a fluke goal and another that we should have done better for.

I think some are giving Palace too much credit. Yes they are a good side but they got two lucky goals really. Freak deflection on the first and poor defending from our part for the second (along with an ignored foul). We were shit first half and the moment we turned it on in the second half they couldn't lay a glove on us.

We don't look like we are firing on all fronts yet. Give it a few games to get this pass and move game focused again and we'll be alright. We started worse last year.

When you say "how bad we were", depends what you compare it with. I watched the earlier Soton-rags game too and both of them were ten times worse. It's what we do over 90 minutes that counts, that's why we're top again (pending Arse result, which I haven't seen)..

None of the replays show that there was daylight between the ball and Ederson’s glove.

Not sure how it could be deemed anything other than a foul.

Sorry mate just trying to be a bit sarcastic. You are of course are correct. I am not the slightest bit bothered about our friends at the other end of the M62 but do recall media chums castigating us for our "lack of respect" following that game against Burton, At the time I found their comments to be an hilarious response to the drubbing we had handed out and just typical of the the ever present effort certain sectors of the press make to find something wrong with just about everything we do. FWIW I believe Bournemouth got what they deserved and sadly for them they already appear to be on the slippery slope.
