Premier League Games 3/4 Sept '22

Am I the only person who thinks that’s a bollocks rule? I get it if the defender plays it backwards, but if it gets a slight touch off the defender in a pass that otherwise goes where it’s intended, I don’t see why that should negate the offside.
It‘d encourage more goals to be scored. I’d give it a chance.
 
Van Dyke seems to have seriously deteriorated. He’s all over the shop ever time I watch him play lately.
 
Could the FA not devise an offside Klaxon that sounds when a player is off?
Surely that would work better than this long convulted process they currently have?
