Liz Truss

I can only wish her well.

America has a lot of the same economic problems, but they are a different ball game and have their own energy resources.

No more jam tomorrow, COVID, Ukraine, all have exposed the flimsy foundations of economies across Europe.

She will get my support, but I fear not even Houdini and Keynes can untangle this set of knots.
We also have our own energy resources but the government is only prepared to let big business benefit from them rather than consumers. Hopefully that will change but there’s been no hint of it so far.

She needs a better fitting bra, like watching two jellies as she walked to the lecturn
Ha, i said out loud, get a better bra luv , lol

As for all this borrowing money , we will have to pay for that in the end , all the usual tired aspirations , unless she can get several doctors and nurses for my surgery then i aint getting an appt

Agreed. How much coal do we still have?

Do we go with fracking?

When does Sizewell C get finished?

Perhaps we have to also move back the green energy targets?

We can all see the energy companies and oil firms make it up as they go along.

$8 is the break even on a barrel of oil in the UAE...

I'd rather we spent £300bn nationalising the fucking lot of them, than going another £100bn in the hole for nothing tangible beyond six months.

Just spouting what people want to hear. I predict 12 months from now, GP appointments will still be a topic of conversation for the same reasons as today.

She is obviously cock a hoop today, but reality will kick in very soon and she will struggle big time to deliver

How did you manage to lose money between 1997-2008?

Brown protected the U.K. from the worst of the financial crash too. It would have been much worse with Osborne as chancellor.
my business struggled badly, partly my own fault, i'd made a decision to buy it based on figures upto 2002. i bought a house in same month ,i spread myself too thin but the figures stacked up. once the crisis hit i had a bailiff a day turning up lol. i'd be on telly if it was now :)
got through it and all good now.

So bad timing, rather than anything Labour did.
