I find this sad in the respect she was a grand and dignified old lady. I’ll remain a republican though and I’m going to struggle with 10 days of intense and often feigned mourning.

Pretty much how I feel. It is quite incredible the changes she has seen throughout her time though, the same with all people her age admittedly but to have been at so many world events is quite astonishing. She was a woman of her time, born into a role and did it well. I do feel the time for that role should end now. It would end on a high, she won't be bettered.

I think we will get the opportunity to pay our respects at St Giles Cathedral, up the hill from Hollyrood on the Royal Mile.

I was only there last month, fitting she gets a goodbye from a country she loved.

Devastated to hear the news tonight, I honestly didn't think it would hit me as hard as it did.
I suppose for anyone under the age of 75 they will have never known anything other than the Queen, a truely amazing Woman who dedicated her life to the Country.
Ther will never be another Monarch who will come close to her.
