I'd forgotten Crystal Palace... he resigned to join Birmingham... oops.. having resigned Wigan to join Palace.
Other than maybe a good spell (part of the time) at Villa, it's been a pretty poor return.. probably needs to be in level 3/4 and would be a success.

I honestly do not know how he has stayed in top level football management. I can't say I've ever been impressed with any team of his.
Made a 2nd career on his reputation in his 1st career.

Did a great job at Birmingham and Hull tbf to him. Hull fans still adore him afaik.
