Yes. Only the scorer handling it immediately before scoring rules a goal out in the PL, any handball from the attacking team in the build up to a goal rules the goal out in the CL.

No, no no. No way :)
Rules apply uniformaly in every competition, national or clubs.

On the other hand there are exceptions according to the teams that play. For example this would never happen to Real Madrid, the favorite kid of UEFA. And furthermore, City is among the less desirable teams for UEFA.

He is an absolute myth. Somehow managed to wangle himself back on to pens last season and stat-padded with um. Most games he is fucking invisible. If that’s him off pens after tonight he won’t get 10 goals this season. A fantastic return for £200k pw wide forward in the best attacking side in world football.

I didn't understand the new deal, certainly when already in thirties?

We could have got decent money this summer and chucked it at someone else or kept Jesus and Zin for improved terms.

The deal means Mahrez is with us until the end of his career.

Right.... A lot to unpick there.

VAR has spoiled the game - goes without saying.

Rodri goal should have stood - Second phase of play after the accidental handball.

It was a penalty - not sure if the keeper moved early, but FFS should have buried it anyway.

Sending off - Yes. Naive in making the challenge, but it wasn't his mistake that led to the situation in the first place.
Agree with all that but would add, Gomez just compounded the original mistake by getting sent off, which in a way, makes it worse

Mahrez looked unfit on his run up for the penalty
No seriously he needs to stop trying to beach football and put a shift in to be regular in this team
