People get bored and move on. The excellent transfer business did us the world of good from a media perspective. The old “oil cheat” narrative is done to death. I've gone full circle with my views on the social and commercial media and how best to deal with them.

The genius behind our owners is their ability to remain objective and not take the opinions of others personally.

I wanted nothing more than the club to fight fire with fire and metaphorically take a missile to a knife fight. However, that was based on my 'personal sense' of being attached as a City fan.

Fortunately, we're in great hands and the custodians of our club know exactly what they're doing and are continuing to build on our success.

The interesting thing is that those members of the social and commercial media know it too. Why else would there be so much negative spin directed at MCFC? Could it be that MCFC are the real deal and pose the biggest threat to the history clubs?

On some level it must be driving the haters mad; that not only does MCFC ignore their rants and ramblings but have the audacity to continue to improve year on year.

We would all like to see some of the journalists/reporters banned for their dis-information in their articles , but i believe the club are taking the softly softly approach because if we go to war with the media it will not end up well , they will escalate the hate campaign to previous unseen levels.
