How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

The thing is that although he is a brexiter ( which I most certainly I'm not!) he does make a lot of sense when talking about other issues.
This shower in gov. now, make no sense on any subject.
I perceive Mr. Lynch as a principled man who won't flip flop on policy just to remain in power, unlike the rogues who currently occupy the HoC.
No one is perfect and can't get every call right - but he seems closer to what I feel about our current situation than anyone else.
We've got to put up with brexit anyway, at least for now...

Oh, definitely mate. I really like the bloke and we need people like him in politics

Mick Lynch is really sensible, likeable and genuine.

Sadly you are right. The consequences of the decision will continue to uncoil and strangle us just as surely as a constrictor would.

Scotland next. It will vote for independence on the back of Brexit.
 
To me the UK being out of the EU is like this.
UK was a shop owner in a building akin to the Arndale, able to promote its' wares and buy freely from other vendors as necessary.
But that wasn't good enough, oh no,
WE wanted something better. WE were cleverer and would flourish unhindered in the rest of the world.
Well the rest of the world has its' own commercial set up and British influence has diminished in that sector.
So what are we left with?
The Curiosity Shop in Old Kent road, selling bric a brac at car boot sales or peddling trinkets at the entrances to railway stations, similar to what takes place in developing countries.
Tell me different!

Roughly £8bn a year with unfettered access to the worlds biggest market, supply chain security and no labour shortages
= Erling Haaland £51m
Bargain doesn't begin to cover it

Currently UK with 60bn fiscal black hole ...
 
I'm not saying Brexit is a winner or a loss, but anybody who has been abroad in Europe lately will know they are suffering exactly the same problems we are here. Soaring costs in the shops, fuel orice increases and shortages, empty shelves.

Their economies seem to be growing a great deal faster than ours though.
I will say Brexit is a loss because factually thats accurate.

The problems we currently face certainly aren’t all down to Brexit, but it has undoubtedly made them significantly worse.
