How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

Those calls would have been made either way

Sadly there was just a giant fucking Union Jack neuron, hot-wired to their fucking brain stems

Its a flag not a Jack - only a Jack when at sea................ hang on ............germ of an idea coming here............ yep they themselves can all get in the sea

Could the dam break?

Today prog interviewed financier Guy Hands (Terra Firma) with an apocalyptic view of the economy if we don't negotiate a better deal with the EU. We are doomed.

And to add to the factual realities around trade etc, Brexit's political impact is directly responsible for leading us to the point where we had a prime minister and chancellor so devoid of ability and diligence that they managed to setback our economy hugely within days of taking office.
Those people should be in jail.

Well I've had a "You keep believing that" comment when I'm not believing anything, just pointing out its not just Britain suffering economically at the moment.
Well at least you realise that the UK is suffering economically.
The question is, do you believe that brexit has compounded the situation, had no effect at all, or eased the situation?
The answer is one of those.

'It's a straight no from me! We're not going back into the EU. We do think that we should make Brexit work'.

Kier Starmer on LBC today. Why doesnt any political party think its a good idea to rejoin? If both Right and Left think we are better off out then it looks like we are staying out.

The Telegraph appears to have given up on its reputation as serious newspaper on the centre right and has turned into a comic like the Mail and Express, with columnists writing pseudo-serious articles replete with bizarre nonsense. That headline is the daftest I've seen since the one in the Mail a week or two ago where Gordon Brown was blamed for pensions scare when bonds tanked after Kamikwazi's mini budget.

Do you have an alternative economic plan?

Five Tory PM's in 6 years - that has been the price of Brexit for them and yet still many of their MP's support it. That is why they are doomed at the next GE - People are sick of Brexit and as they love to tell us they can make their views clear on anything via the ballot box. Brexit will eat all its proponents before eventually eating itself.

Starmer showing he's thinking about the red wall seats rather than the nation. He's fucking spineless.

The right wing of the Labour Party are worried about the red wall seats that voted to leave, the left wing of the Party never the liked the idea of the EU in the first place as they saw it as a capitalist free market ideal so all in all you won't see Labour backing a return to the EU any time soon.

whatever He thinks and says he needs those votes in the next Gen Election. He’s not going to piss off hundreds of thousands of voters. This has been Labours problem with talking honestly about Brexit since it happened.
I just want someone who supports it to ‘show me the money’.

It's not as simple as that though is it? Brexit has never got going because of infighting and then a global shutdown for two years. You can't leave something you've been tied to for fifty years without hiccups. Also vast numbers of politicians didn't want it so will do anything to ensure it fails as they want a return. They never actually thought the vote would be to leave either so were Ill prepared when it did.

Every country is suffering economically but here everything is blamed on brexit.its an easy excuse, just as from the other side everything was blamed on being in the EU when we were in it.

There is one thing I do know. Large numbers of people in the UK were poor before joining what was then the common market, poor during the period we were in it, will be poor out of it and poor if we rejoin. Vast areas in the country had no real prospects that their lives were ever going to improve. In those areas the vote to leave was more a vote against the sneering establishment who had ignored them for decades.
