Didn't look out of place. Can't give him an higher praise than that.
I think it’s a very good sign that Pep plays him so much. Clearly he rates him very highly.
The 5 sub rule is fantastic for our young players. They are gaining so much experience because we are getting on top of other teams so quickly.
I may disagree here. We used to be 3 or 4 up plenty back in 17/18, but it didn't have the impact then in the way the 5 subs rule has.The five sub rule helps, but the single biggest change is that we are three or four goals up after 70 minutes, so Pep can safely blood players without risking points.

Is interesting he’s getting a fair share of minutes already, almost being fast tracked like foden rather than with Palmer
Agreed, it wouldn’t surprise me if Ake wanted out to be first choice elsewhereThe CB situation is untenable long term IMO, soon enough one of the 5 is going to want to leave.
So it would be really good for us if Rico could be considered solid RB cover by next summer and we can rely on 4 CBs 2 RBs and 2LBs.
We can sell 1 or 2 next summer for £60-100m and reinvest wherever we feel we need to.The CB situation is untenable long term IMO, soon enough one of the 5 is going to want to leave.

Could be right, he won’t accept not being a starter in the big games. Is Ake on a 5 year deal? We’ll probably have to give him a new contract if he’s stayingI think it will be Laporte.
He’ll be 29 next summer, he’s had several major injuries, he threatened he’d want to leave when Stones and Dias benched him for half a season.
Something I have been advocating for long enough and as you say the 5 subs rule has made it possible, glad to see Pep changing it up, I know it has slowed the game down after so many subs but it will be invaluable to the youth getting to play with top talent.I think it’s a very good sign that Pep plays him so much. Laporte has already spit his dummy out threatening to leave if he wasn't made first choice. After his tantrum Pep split Stones and Dias up who had an excellent understanding. Any more tantrums that he's not starting as much as he wants and I hope Pep sells him to the highest bidder because we can afford to let one CB go now we have Akanji. We need unity in the squad, not dummy spitters. Players know there is no guarantee when they sign. The only exception to this is Ederson in league games, and even he knows that he loses his place in many domestic cup games.I think it will be Laporte.

Him and Palmer up the right side. For Pep to be giving him minutes at 17 speaks volumes about how he must be thought of inside the club. He looks right at home as well, doesn't look nervous, or in awe of those around him. Think he could become a regular starter in a year or two.
The same guy who you say spat his dummy out who played the last few games through pain and a knee injury last season to make sure we had a senior defender in the team and who because of that helped us win the league and unfortunately for him have to have an operation and miss the start of this season. Maybe that was his way of apologising for spitting his dummy out in the summer? The same guy who you say spat his dummy out who played the last few games through pain and a knee injury last season to make sure we had a senior defender in the team and who because of that helped us win the league and unfortunately for him have to have an operation and miss the start of this season. We all do mate, and the game on Tuesday would have been perfect to give him,a natural right back,a start.Rico on Man City tv, he’s a true City fan so looking at how comfortable he looks when he comes on and being a City fan I really hope he is a top notch success at City
