Today is the first time I didn’t get on the edge of my seat when he got the ball. It’s all become very samey. He’s not driving at players, so frustrating to watch a player who has the ability to take somebody on just flat out refuse to do it.

I'm tempted to say he's Mahrez with an alice band -but I won't.
I'm 100& sure all blues want to see Jack tearing into defences ,scoring great goals , winning games & doing what KDB did today. We can only wait so long if he shows no sign of breaking through.

I just don’t think you can be a winger for Man City without a goal contribution in you. I think he probably has till the end of the season to step it up
Pep knew what he was getting. So Pep wont be that surprised with what he is seeing. For some reason this forum thinks because he cost 100m he suddenly should have 30 a season and 20 assists.

The frustrating thing is he seems to be doing exactly what Pep is asking of him. Keep possession, draw players towards him and keep the ball high up the field. I would love to see him driving forward more though.

Nasri regularly scored and created chances, sadly Jack isn’t doing that at present
Nasri was more attitude than talent when he was out of sorts. His talent was great. I’m not sure Grealish will ever be and it looks like we have hugely overpaid for someone who is decent but is never going to set the world alight for us. Not his fault we paid that much but these English player signings are always a gamble, as they are always overpriced, always overhyped and often underdeliver. For me he is a £40m player playing at a £40m player level. Our best players over the last 10 years have almost exclusively been players from Overseas.

I don’t agree with that. At villa he was always taking risks and taking players on. Pep doesn’t seem to want him to do that.

I can only go off what I've watched from him and Pep has no issue with Grealish beating his man, Pep just doesn't want Grealish losing the ball unnecessarily.

An example of his lack of offensive instincts is when Alvarez beat his man on the right and needed someone in the box to finish the move, Grealish had only just realised the situation but was miles away. For all his faults, Sterling would've been in that box ready to tap that in.

Thing is we signed him knowing this. The guy hasn't put more than 10 past in any pro season he's played.

He got 6 goals and 10 assists his last season at Villa(That's more goal involvements than Phil has yet to manage). Also he was the 2nd most creative player in the league behind Kev, in a shite Villa team. That's why we signed him, coming up with any other reason is deflection.

If thats what Pep is asking then thats fine, fans asking him to to something Pep isn’t asking would be pretty stupid. How is it frustrating if Pep asks him to do a job for the team and the team wins. Frustrating would be him not doing it and we drop points. In that case though Pep wouldn’t pick him. Just ask Thiery Henry what happens when you ignore Peps instructions.

Going off these stats ( which somehow excludes the fa cup) he has 8 goal contributions in 50 appearance's. Which if my math is correct gives jack an 84% chance of not contributing a goal or assist everytime he on the pitch. No where near good enough.

His lack of involvement in the game is not for the lack of attempt - though he's unbelievably casual, slow and safe most of the time - it's that whenever he tries to do something you'd expect from a winger he fails. can't beat his man to save his life, can't whip in a cross, can't finish. doesn't ghost in the box enough. Not fast enough. non existent weak foot. world's greatest footballer at hitting the defender's shin. Not particularly skillful, with all the respect to his shimmies. for fuck sake I saw stones beat a defender today better than he ever has for us. Woeful football intelligence.

Seems Pep thinks differently. Football all about opinions though.

Sancho/Grealish direct swap deal. Who says no?
Nah, forget about everything apart from the principle for me, was made an offer to be the highest paid teenager in the world at the time? (Could be wrong) and wanted to leave, fuck him, he hasn't pulled up any trees in England.

There's more chance I get a run of games than this happening too.
