Is there anyone dumber than someone who thinks he/she is a Republican? Someone who thinks Trump should be supporting anyone other than those slavishly devoted to him?

He IS your party. We have progressives, moderate Democrats, and MAGAs.

There IS no Republican Party. You’re a MAGA, or you’re nothing.

 
Can someone explain why Biden is doing so badly, is it purely down to the economy and what are the chances of Trump coming back?
Alos could Biden use presidential powers to keep up support for Ukraine?

You mean why Biden is 'polling' so badly?

In reality he's actually doing well under the circumstances. I think his bad numbers are partly because the media are not fairly and accurately reporting, and partly because of Democrat Party messaging. Also, people don't think he's a particularly good orator (he does really well for a guy with a stutter) and somehow equate that to him being a bad leader.

0% chance the dems will keep both houses.

They’ll lose the senate. The Republicans will scrap the January 6th proceedings and move to impeach Biden on some nonsense that’ll never stack up but will play well with their looney base.

Jan 6 hearing are practically done anyway. All of the evidence is in the hands of the DoJ. Whether they chose to actually move forwards with a prosecution is another matter.

Not sure what trumped up (no pun intended) charges they are going to try and throw at Biden, but whatever they are it will make an absolute mockery of the system and show them up to the world what absolute c*nts they are.

I think this election is one where the polling data might be off (again). I just cannot believe that non-MAGA voters would vote for a MAGA Republican candidate given all that's transpired in the past year or so (overturn of Roe; numerous Trump scandals and the Republican base sticking by and defending Trump; very poor, underqualified or even incompetent Republicans running against strong Democratic opposition in several races; etc.).

We'll see though.

This sadly seems to be the consensus.

Given the Abortion issue I still think there will be some surprises but generally the mood seems to be that it will go with convention and the incumbents will lose some seats. That means the senate is lost.

America is fked if they cant see how crazy the GOP has got.

Who the nom is for both sides is then the big issues. Always thought Biden was too old. They need a JFK type.

Trump v RonD on the other side looks like it will get very ugly. Fox news seem to be backing Ron going into it. Trump and his idiot cult will rip him to shreds just like they did in 2016. But a Trump run in 2024 will be a disaster, far far worse than anything before. Suspect he would lose badly.
