The postponed COVID game actually benefited us in a way, because Richarlison was injured at the time. Not that we'd have won, but at least we didn't have to do it without him.

They have a great fanbase to be fair. They sell out every game both home and away as far as I'm aware
Could have fooled me. Back when we still lived in Liverpool I worked as a steward at both grounds and Goodison often had a lot of empty seats on a matchday. Maybe it's changed now. Although given they've gotten even worse that's hard to fathom. Lol.

You'd struggle to get a ticket for an everton game - home or away. Depending on a possible new stadium novelty response we could reasonably expect to sell out a 45-50k stadium. Problem is the funding and repayments aspect of it, along with which division we are in. We have had 2 failed stadium moves and you could argue that the move is about 15 years too late.
The fact it is happening is amazing in itself with our board and I still expect a few twists and turns.
Things have changed since I was a steward there back in 2012-2016 then. They were advertising half season tickets that were still available every matchday.

Piece of piss to get a ticket for Everton. My brother supports them and just turns up on match day.

Everton didn't endear themselves to any City fans over the Lescott affair, but aside from that I have no issue with them. Great old club, good, passionate support - what's not to like?
Throwing their toys out of the pram about the postponed game? Whining about not being kept informed?

Their use of Stanley craft blades (in the past granted, but permanent reminders on any given concourse)

To be fair, their away following has been fantastic numbers-wise for many years going back long before then. They're not necessarily the loudest away fans as like us, they have a significant older demographic in their fanbase who have been attending away games for years (not that I'm saying older fans don't sing of course - I'm 52 and I do!) but you can't fault their numbers.

I enjoyed their fans sharing their lighters and coins with us fans below them in the LC semi a few years back. Scouse pricks.

Am of that demographic re age and would say over the decades I see the same faces attending games- especially away games. I think re noise we are a more studious fanbase re the game and believe singing and flags is for kopites , sometimes to our detriment. Numbers wise I would say we rarely don't sell out away from home.
Outside London clubs including United we used to have the biggest supporters club in the South. A question I get asked often is " how come you support Everton coming from Liverpool " which always baffles me.

You're assuming the average person actually knows where Everton is.

Although I'm sure I'm not alone with similar things being said to me when we were 'shit'. People can't get their heads around why everyone isn't a rag/dip fan.
