CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

Could we counter sue the PL for damaging our reputation?
To have a court case ruling on decisions and dealing with their investigations for over 4 years without any charge has resulted in unprecedented criticism and multitudes of negative press articles inferring guilt for breaching FFP and alluding owner sponsorship etc.
It's an utter liberty they've been taking which for evidence already ruled on by CAS as being unsupported in any way is just plain wrong and unjust in my opinion.
Not really, unless we move to the US.

The proposed sale of Liverpool FC has led journalists to reveal that John Henry spent more time on “Project Big Picture” than running LFC. That was the failed attempt to resign the Prem and EFL.

Rick Parry also did much of the donkey work on this failed project. It sounds a bit like how UEFA brought FFP charges against City.
All roads lead to Parry.

Sorry - this is a very simplistic question & probably impossible to answer but based on all the above posts on time limitations etc - what’s the date by which the investigation has to finish because it’s run out of time?

It would depend on the date of any wrongdoing, found by their investigation. I believe they are already barred from bringing charges for any alleged misconduct before November 2016. The longer they take to find anything, the less chance they have of bringing a case against us, because we have been very clean for many years now. If there was any wrongdoing by us, I suspect it was well before 2016.

This is unless the PL regulations can somehow circumvent the Limitation Act 1980, maybe with their own version of limitation.

Oh yeah wouldn’t put it past them! City being still investigated in 2050

Meanwhile our pal Pinto is back in court still facing 90 charges and apparently (according to Marca) has admitted extortion (although it may be a dodgy translation)

And in yesterday's evidence Pinto claims he planned it all in the pub with his mates. Not very convincing.

Of course the English media and City-haters who built Pinto up into some sort of hero over the fabricated Der Spiegl emails are ignoring the ongoing case because it doesn't suit their dishonest narrative. The BBC have not run a single line since the online team produced a big preview article of the trial two years ago which was biased (and overtly racist) and linked City to the case (even though we apparently don't feature in any of the charges)

This article, which is still on the BBC website, includes the totally false and unattributed phrase: "The data showed how wealthy Gulf Arab individuals and organisations now exercise strong influence over some top European clubs, as well as the role of offshore tax havens in football transactions."

We've seen with our own eyes what they've done to some games with their application of VAR, so . . . . . . . . . . . . . A little rule change here, another one there, backdated to 1879, and we're buggered.

They will let it run for the 6 years say they ran out of time and we will 'get off' on the time bound technicality.
IIRC that was one of the reasons given for not taking the case of Liverpool hacking City's scouting database any further. The other was that Liverpool had paid City a million quid despite Liverpool never admitting any wrongdoing.

Re the bolded part - guilty as charged! ;)

Thanks for the kind words. My situation hasn't changed but I've started to cope with it a bit better. My mum will need help at some point soon as she's in her late eighties, but I currently have a long video call every day. She's in decent spirits, very active and keeping pretty healthy.

Good to hear mate!

Cheers. I’m just looking forward to the day all slurs are ended

I believe that the PL have probably ended up in the same position as UEFA did with their politically-motivated investigation. They have no evidence of FFP wrongdoing by City (because there is none) and now they are looking for a way out.
Remember Ceferin tried to strike a deal with City last time just before it went to CAS and we told him to get stuffed. The PL has now wasted nearly four years on a witchhunt and need to save face. They will let it drag on and then try and blame it all on a flawed legal process telling their masters at LFC and MUFC "we did our best."
Then LFC and MUFC will spread their poison to the media again behind closed doors saying we can't do anything about City: " We all know they are corrupt but the process was timed out again." And so the smear campaign goes on. Perhaps the departure of FSG will calm things down a bit because they have certainly been the prime movers against us....not least because the Glazers are totally incompetent.
Keep an eye on Arsenal. They were prime movers against us in the past and may just be getting giddy again given their current on field purple patch

Juventus’ entire board has resigned following investigations surrounding ‘false accounting’.

Another advocate or FFP. Another Advocate of the Super League.

Are the blinkers coming off for the neutrals or will people finally start to realise which type of clubs are ‘bad for football’?
Tbf Juventus are honourable members of the G14 elite and have zero history whatsoever of any kind of cheating and skullduggery. It is only right that City know our place, doff our caps to our betters and accept both our place and moral/ethical lectures from these true giants and guardians of the soul of football
